Please excuse my horrendous grammar


First off, I just want to say great win tonight against the king. As you may or may not know I am a die hard Lakers fan. The first year I watch basketball was when Kobe Bean Bryant was on the bench and Eddie Jone was the starter. So I'm not a bandwagon fan of Kobe, but I am a Lakers fan by heart. I also live in LA and I root for both the Lakers and Clippers. When I first started to watch basketball the Grizziles were still in Memphis. I feel that the Grizziles are really the Lakers allies as corny as it sound. I don't think there is any hate between the two organization and the fact that you guys gave us Paul Gasol make me wonder if it a mere concidence that I am part Grizzlies and part Lakers. Let me try to explain it. My hometown is Memphis, but I live in LA much longer than I have in Memphis, and the fact that the Grizzlies are helping the Lakers make me think if it not a somewhat corny concidence that both team are part of me, if that make sense at all.

I will be rooting for the Grizziles but after both LA teams. Had the Vancouver Grizzlies move to Memphis much sooner, I would no doubt in my mind a Grizzlies fan. I been a loyal fan of the Lakers even in those season where they didn't make the playoff and when Kobe had Brown and Parker on his team .

It still great to know that my hometown has an basketball team. Now i can root for both the Titan (favorite NFL team since LA doesn't have a football team) and the Grizzlies. As you can see I won't be a fan of a team even if they are good unless I live in the same city or if there is only one team in the state like the NY Knick, so everyone in NY is a fan.

Should I root for the Grizzlies?

we didnt gave up Pau gasol for nothin, when people would start to understand it? we made a risky decision and looks like it worked out.

Should you root for the grizzs? sure. why u wouldnt? grizzlies is the best team in nba.

I'm actually a Laker fan but have been following the Grizzlies for the last 4-5 years. I mostly post in here rather than the Laker forum come to think about it.

I'll be honest if the Grizz go up against the Lakers or Clippers there is no way I'm rooting for the Grizz, however Memphis is my home town and lot of good memories were there even though I only stay there for about 4 years and in LA for around 17 years.

You guys have great player in Mayo, Gay, and Gasol. Maybe someday the Grizz can become champion? Who are you guys getting for 2010?

Probably the king of BBall is coming to the town of the king of rock. So when lebron sings with the grizzs C.Bosh might come too.

Since about August 2008. It's always been secondary to the Bulls thing, but I'm pretending it isn't because the Bulls are no fun right now.

Oh well. The more the merrier.

While I can't honestly say that I'm a Grizzlies fan, Memphis is a nice up and coming team. I'm not sure they win consistently enough to be considered a playoff threat THIS season, but they're VERY close to being at that level. The grizzlies may finally get there next season though so long as they re-sign Rudy Gay.
