I'm a little confused. I know he wasn't with the team anymore but I don't recall seeing where they bought him out. Does anyone know what it means for the Grizzlies salary cap situation?

Hopefully more details will emerge and the picture will be clearer.

Chris Wallace just said on the radio that he has not been bought out and has not yet signed with anyone else.

Doesn't Jaric have a guaranteed contract that runs through until next season? Did the Grizzlies just bought him out of his contract? anyone her knows? Here's the salary link for the Grizzlies:

ive read some spanish newspaper. jaric cant leave the grizzs now, at least without a buyout. any signing with another franchise or european is illegal. Marko Jaric-Lima has to be this year and the next here. 15mill are left to pay him in that two years. he is coming to replace a injured player (Sergio llul), knowing what madrid can afford to pay him, i think it wont be easy that buy out.

If we save that money, i would send it to the extension of Gay...

According to the Grizz beat writer (Ron Tillery) on his radio show this morning, the Grizz are actively working the make this happen. The buyout should save the Grizz about $1.5 over the next year and a half. Jaric will remain on the books with the Grizz and his contract won't be able to be moved to another NBA team. However, he will be free to play for Real Madrid. It all hinges on the buyout.
