What a great acquisition for the Grizzlies he would be.

Frye can backup BOTH Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol...two of the guys that I'm worried about finding minutes for as the season goes on..and if we make the playoffs he'd be a better big to bring off of the bench than either a healthy Darrell Arthur or Hasheem Thabeet.

His 3pt. shooting has been ridiculous this season.

He has a player option for next year which might be good for both he and the Grizzlies..because we don't want to pay him next year and he might not want to stay (if he can get a more long-term contract with another team in free agency).

Problem is, how can we get him with Phoenix maintaining some big man depth for the remainder of the season. They are already pretty thin and are talking about trading Amare.

Always liked Frye dating back to his Arizona days.

He's a skilled offensive player. His softness could be hidden with Gasol or Z-Bo on the floor at the same time.

I doubt the Suns let him go though.

The Suns will keep him. No way they will trade Frye within the Western Conference unless they are rebuilding.

I have to disagree about Channing Frye. I watch a ton of Suns games and he is softer than Randolph on defense, perhaps the softest player in the entire NBA. I've lost count how many times players drive to the rim and he actually takes a step back to get out of their way.

Even on offense he is soft. That's why he is always hanging out at the three point line. Frye looks like he plain is afraid of physical contact. The only reason his point production is up is like a number of other Suns, Steve Nash does all the work and they reap the benefit by standing around and getting the ball when their defender sags in to stop Nash.

There's a reason why he's been demoted in Phoenix and Robin Lopez has taken his spot. I think they've tired of his cowardness. Why Memphis would want a center that is afraid to be in the paint is beyond me. I certainly wouldn't want Frye's timidness on my team if I were the coach.

Sorry but I think Channing Frye is a terrible player to have on the Grizzlies. He's a three point shooter and nothing else. May as well go after a shooter that actually should be playing on the perimeter such as a shooting guard.

i don't like him either. Even if Grizz wanted him, who yhey give up for him. I'm sure Suns don't want Marcus Williams or Carrol

Downtown, what you are saying, that's the majority of bench players. Most of them are soft scorers. That's ususally why they aren't starters. Not well-rounded enough. I'm not suggesting he replace Gasol or Z-Bo in the lineup.

Fact is...Robin Lopez is the only physical big man Phoenix has. Amare's defense is terrible. He doesn't like contact either. They aren't taking him out of the starting lineup.

And if you can imagine a second unit of Frye/Thabeet or Arthur/Frye..then it may not be so bad.

As far as what we give up for him...a team ready to rebuild like Phoenix would value that Nuggets or Lakers pick. We want to give it up anyway.

Channing Frye is good bc of Nash. Didnt you see him in Portland? He needs a great PG to create for him. Without that hes lost.

I wouldn't mind Korver myself. Unfortunately he has been enduring injuries throughout the past two seasons. Not exactly the most reliable player for the Grizz to go after right now.
