Monday's Grizzlies Game against the Lakers

Watching NBA TV.

They mentioned that Kobe Bryant is 48 points away from passing Jerry West as the All-Time leading scorer for the Lakers.

His next two games are Sunday at Boston and yep...Monday at Memphis.

It's not unreasonable to think he could go for 48 against the Celtics in Boston. But I don't think it's likely...

Meaning that if he averages 24 points for the 2 games...He would set the record in FedEx Forum on Monday.

Part of me would love to be in the arena to witness one of the greatest players ever set a record of some kind.

The Grizz fan in me wants us to hold him to 2 points so he will have to wait.

Either way..I just wanted to point this out. Should make the interest in the game all the more better. Especially outside of Memphis.

Maaan im so waiting for this game. Great games right now. Today revenge game against Hornets and monday Lakers. Grizz definetly have to fight hard to win this one but its possible 'cause Lakers haven't been Lakers in a while.
Go Grizz!

Did not know the game against the lakers was this week. Pau coming back! :D
a back to back with hornets and spurs and then the lakers moving to grizzland. thats the worst part of belonging to the West. In the east we could reach the 5th spot the least.

In addition, Jackson is one game shy of tying Riley for wins w/ LA. Obviously, if they win at Boston, his first shot at breaking it is the Mem game. Both the Kobe and Jackson things could conceivably happen on the same night.

As a Laker fan, I consider Riles as a company man to the core, but Jackson feels like a Jackson man. Like how Nixon was a Republican, but he was a Nixonian Republican.

Looks like that could be the case.

With the win in Boston, Phil could get the record tonight. Kobe needs 28 to tie West. 29 to pass him.

Should be interesting.

no problems here if Bynum has career ending injury tonight, Kobe limited to 27 points, and Pau starts fight with Marc and gets beaten down. double technicals, both ejected, and Haddadi finishes with game high for the win! as a result Phil Jackson retires unexpectedly never to be seen or heard from again :P

It is interesting how many milestones the Lakers are approaching. Hopefully, the Grizz don't allow them to reach them.
