Trade proposal: Marc Gasol for Wolves PG

Post#1 » by Minny P » Tue Feb 2, 2010 9:25 pm

Hi guys, Wolves fan here,

I was watching the Grizzlies - Lakers game last night and I thought that Memphis would be killing the next years with a decent passing PG. I know there have been a couple of trade proposals from Minnesota fans involving Rudy Gay, but I'm looking at your need for a quality PG and our need for a defensive center.

Say Minnesota gets the first pick this summer and a look at John Wall, would you trade Marc Gasol and your 2010 first rounder for Rubio? What about Jonny Flynn for Marc Gasol straight up?

Congrats for kicking Lakersbutt in style last night :rocking:

Absolutely not.

Marc Gasol's value absolutely destroys both Rubio and Flynn's and he's not going anywhere for a long time IMO. He is absolutely essential to have in the starting lineup.

A Rubio/Thabeet swap is more feasible.

If y'all score Wall, he won't be traded for Gasol, you will be looking to trade Flynn or Rubio, who the Grizz wouldn't take for Gasol...

Ok, what about Flynn for Thabeet (maybe with some picks/ role players involved)?

I think Minnesota shot itself in the foot when they drafted two point guards Ricky Rubio,Johnny Flynn that is stupid especially when you knew about the contract situation overseas is moronic. Should of drafted Johnny Flynn,Stephen Curry. Memphis isn't going to trade Marc Gasol for that junk they got Conley,Tinsley is pretty good too.

Much more plausible then Marc for Rubio or Flynn...
