Bench help on a 10-day contract

Post#1 » by pardon_my_interruption » Wed Feb 3, 2010 7:45 pm

With Darrell Arthur set to return mid-February, Memphis could find some value in signing a guy from the D-League to a 10-day contract that can take some minutes from Zach and Marc at PF/C.

I was combing through the Dakota Wizards D-League roster and there's not much there, but I did see they just acquired a 6'9" F named James Jackson that is averaging 10 and 5 right now in the D-League. Of course his numbers aren't that good nor would they be in the league but maybe he could come in here and help us for a few days..add a little fire in the meantime.

It's evident the guys are tiring. We can't afford to lose much ground before the All-Star break.

Earl Barron- already has NBA experience. 6'11"

Dwayne Jones- same as Barron, but Jones is averaging 15.4 rebs a game. Also a good shotblocker.

Rob Kurz- 6'9", I don't think he has NBA experience. Good rebounder/shotblocker.
