I agree. All teams go through a little slump here and there during the season and Memphis shouldn't be imune. But the difference is the duration of the losses. This game is the stop point where they must get back on track before they go back to their old ways and begin to lose confidence, which is a very underated and misunderstood ingredient in sports.

My big concern is this is more than just a case of a small letdown and that the lack of energy we've seen lately is more about the wear of the large minutes on the starters. Let's hope I'm wrong. Usually I'd say the timing of the allstar game is good for them to get some needed rest but the Grizzlies have three of their starters participating that weekend.

If there is a silver lining it's that if us fans notice the letdown surely management has to and this might hurry a trade or two for better help from the bench.

The lack of depth is really starting to show. The starting unit has logged more floor time together than any other starting 5 in the league. DA returning will be helpful, but the Grizz need even more bench help than that. Make it happen Mr. Wallace...
