Nobody thought Gasol junior would turn out this good, well i did lol. What a great young player he is, not to Thabeet;s delight lol. I want to know though if you hold any hopes for Thabeet? He has great stats for limited minutes. Do you guys think of him as a bust or do you see his future quite bright? What do you project for him in future years?? More playing time, more opportunities? Discuss

I hope that when he is traded he brings something of worth back to the Grizz.
See, I can keep it positive in regards to Hasheem.

I think Gasol has established himself as the Starter. The only way to get an increase in minutes for Thabeet is to move Gasol to the PF some and do the "Twin Tower" thing. Which could really make for mix-matches.

It's really impossible to tell what Thabeet will be. Sometimes he doesn't give a crap but when he does, it's been pretty impressive. And Rubio wasn't coming to Memphis and everybody knows, I don't know why he keeps getting brought up

At this point, I think Thabeet will be forever trying to tap into his "Strotential" much like a certain former number 2 pick.

I posted in another topic that I agree with Ron Tillery that Thabeet will still be a project three years from now. I'm sorry but I'm a bit cynical since I went through the Seattle experience of successive failed drafts with Robert Swift, Johan Petro, and Mo Sene.

To this day, I still don't understand what Seattle were thinking about when they drafted those guys. Hell I could tell they were not going to amount to much by their profiles alone.

You should set the bar higher than Stro and hope for a Ben Wallace type - limited O but DOPY impact after a few seasons.

At worst, I think he'll at least be a samuel dalembert or something.

WTG #2 overall pick who had it handed to him on a silver platter and said "nah - I'd rather hang at the mall..."

I'm sure if "looking absolutely and hopelessly lost" were a stat, he'd lead that per as well.

your welcome. you have a great core of solid players. and they are all young. just keep them together, build the chemistry, dont trade parts like crazy like most teams do, and they will gel and become a powerhouse for years to come.
and thanks too. we got a win/win situation here with that deal, and if memphis doesnt go crazy, they could actually challenge us in the future for a conference championship.
