For your info canucklehead, I live in Vancouver and between TSN, Sportsnet, The Score, and Raptors TV I probably see at least 60 Raptors games a year. I wasn't trying to be a Memphis homer. Just someone who has been posting on realgm since 2001 and have seen the pattern over and over.

Wow, that is not true at all.

The reason is because we have Jack and Calderon is the same.

We need a defensive PG, and Calderon is not one of them.But his is not a cancer or anything. We just need to move in another direction. Calderon contract is not bad at all, for what is produced it actually good value.

For the Grizzlies it would be a very bad contract.

WTF are you smoking bro?

Calderon's contract is terrible. He is a back-up PG making $9M a year. He plays no defence and doesn't "create" on offence. He just gives it to Bosh and once in a while will make a couple of nice plays.
He's worth no more than $5M in this league yet we have to keep his ass for another 3 (or 4?) years for $9M+ a year?

Thabeet may not have been a great pick for the Grizz, but he's certainly a hell of a lot more valuable than Jose is.

PS - I'm a Raps fan.

I live in Toronto and I can't imagine there being any reason for Memphis to take Jose. Thabeet has the potential to be a big time defender and Jose is just a scrub. I'd say trade Bargs or Bosh for Thabeet and throw in some other contracts in the package to make it work.
Don't really know if the Griz would want Bosh or Bargnani though, since they already have a scoring, rebounding big man in Randolph.

Is something surrounding Bargnani for Thabeet + Brewer possible? I'm not sure you guys want Randolph as your power forward for the future and a starting front line of Bargnani/Gasol could do damage.

The sane Raptors fans know Calderon is a terrible contract, can't play a lick of defense and would never get Thabeet in a deal.

So i guess there is no need to point out that Jose has a 10% Trade Kicker - meaning Memphis would be paying him even more than Toronto is currently paying him.
