Low FGA Draft (60s and forward) - Discussion
Draft Rules:
1. NBA seasons from 1989-90 1959-60 up to and including 2023-24 are eligible, subject to the restrictions outlined below. If you use a pre-merger season of 1959-60 to 1975-76 the FGAs are reduced by a .85 multiplier.
2. Note special FGA limit of 60.0 below
3. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.
4. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 60.0 FGA with a minimum of 3.0 FGA per player corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player. NOTE: You may pick a player whose actual FGA number was lower than 3.0, but you still be charged 3.0 for that player.
5. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected.
6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA
7. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, or if the player you have chosen is ineligible, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to myself or another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.
8. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.
9. Draft order will be completely randomized.
10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet. Please note that the clock starts whenever the previous drafter has either made their pick or their two-hour window has expired, even if the next person is not quoted.
11. The winner of the draft will be determined by playoffs.
Team Roster Page Rules:
You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:
. Players
. Rotations
. Draft selections
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is under the required 60.0 FGA
-All of the above must be completed before playoffs begin.

Count me in!
I think it would be a good idea to include the 60s. Both Russ and Wilt are low-cost GOAT candidates. 71' Oscar is relatively cheap as well. I'm on board with whatever you guys want though.

60 seems too extreme for me.

I think it's good to not have loaded stars on every team. The role players mean alot. I remember a while back we did a draft game that was post Bulls Jordan/pre Lebron, 1999-2003 and it was great that alot of not often used players were included.

You're preaching to the choir about loaded teams. This seems a step too far in the other direction though - the benches in particular will be horrifying. 75 is something we've done in the past and seems more feasible to me.

Re: Low FGA Draft (90s and forward) - Signups
Roddy makes 8 for this one, which I think is a good size for something experimental like this.
Hope it turns out well, but I'm with Fade in thinking this one was a bit too extreme. I was waiting to see if it could get to 8 without me.

Can we expand the year selection with it being extremely low FGA amount or too late for that?

Fair enough. I would like a couple more in case anyone has to drop, so we'll give it today at least. Maybe you and/or Fade will eventually decide to get down in the mud with us.
