2017 Kevin Durant: 16.5 FGA (made Finals with two separate teams)
1992 David Robinson: 15.8 FGA (DPoY)
2023 Jalen Brunson: 17.6 FGA (Knicks)
2012 Andre Iguodala: 10.2 FGA (Sixers)
1995 Robert Horry: 8.4 FGA (Rockets)
2019 Joe Harris: 9.8 FGA (Nets)
2024 Justin Holiday: 3.3 FGA (Nuggets)
2009 Maurice Evans: 6.0 FGA (Hawks)
Total: 87.6/88.0 FGA
Brunson (38)/Holiday (10)
Iguodala (18)/Harris (24)/Holiday (6)
Durant (18)/Iguodala (20)/Evans (10)
Horry (28)/Durant (20)
Robinson (38)/Horry (10)
-Our big 3 of Brunson, Durant and Robinson have perfect fit. This version of Brunson is similar to prime Russ but with better shooting and will work extremely well next to peak KD. Robinson is the perfect third option, he won't need to post-up as much which is a weakness of his, the majority of his points will come from pick and rolls, offensive rebounds and other easy baskets.
-Everybody on our roster besides Robinson shoots at least 38% from 3, so Brunson and Durant will have PLENTY of room to go to work.
-In terms of his defenders, he mentions Kawhi and Pierce on Durant... That's not exactly a good matchup for him. Remember, we DID see Kawhi on Durant in 2016, and it didn't exactly go well. Durant averaged 29 ppg on 60% TS and the Thunder upset the Spurs. This is a better version of Durant with WAY more help. Also, we'll take 36 year old Pierce on Durant all day and five times on Sundays.
-He also mentions Barkley getting a "rest" on Iggy. This is 2012 Iggy, the only year he made the All-Star game and shot 39.5% from 3. Chuck won't be resting much, and if he is, we'll get open 3s.
-On defense, we'll play the matchups straight: Brunson on Mookie (who isn't that much of an offensive threat, his career TS% is 49), Iggy on Clyde, Durant on Kawhi, Horry on Barkley (Horry was VERY good defensively in his younger days, remember that. Even as a Laker he would frequently guard Duncan) and Robinson on Deke (who is a relative non-factor on offense, allowing the Admiral to help wherever needed).
-Jon's team feels more like a collection of talent than a team with clear roles honestly. A lot of isolation scorers in Drexler, Kawhi and Barkley, but not enough playmaking, and DEFINITELY not enough shooting. Kawhi is his only starter who averages above 37% from 3.
-On the whole, I think I have the two best players (Durant and Robinson), and my fit is just better. Vote ardee!
