Alrighty lets do this.
Always tough going against a Lebron team here, but I think that I match up fairly well here.
Defensively I think I’ve got one of the only teams in this game with enough size to go toe to toe, position to position here- his big front line trio won’t be able to bully mine, as all three of my guys are solid defenders comparable in size to who they are up against. Tyson Chandler is the weak link in this offense and means I’ll have full use of Gasol’s terrific run protection in this particular matchup.
Cassell is admittedly our weak link defensively, but while I’ll concede that I’ll counter that I don’t really see that matchup as an overall win for Dr P- I think I prefer this version of Sam to that version of Deron, and also think Deron’s role in a game where Lebron and VC will be creating most of the time is ill defined. I think he ends up in the corner a lot here.
My bench isn’t a particularly strong one but I don’t think “synergy with Lebron” puts his over the top here either. Korver and Miller have comparable roles and outside of the backup centers 2015 Delly is comfortably the worst player in this series.
