State Franchises Draft - R1 - hoopsfan777* vs Larry_Russell

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

88/88

Defense will be

Sga on walt
Og anunoby on reggie
Edwards on ak47
Mwp on barry
Turner on Thurmond

Defensively we are very, very good here. High IQ defenders who can switch all over the place and pressure.

Offensively I am just on a whole other level here.

Elite spacing
Elite athleticism

I will hunt reggie and thurmond in this matchup. Nate has to try and defend in space which will be horrible for him amd reggie is going to be hunted by SGA and Edwards.

Tldr

Better offense
Better defense

70 Walt Frazier - 12.8
94 Reggie Miller - 13.2
04 Andrei Kirilenko - 11.9
73 Rick Barry - 17
67 Nate Thurmand - 14
94 Nate McMillan - 5.4
98 Chris Mullin - 8.4
13 Nick Collison - 3.7

86.4/88

Walt Frazier (40) / Nate McMillan (8)
Reggie Miller (38) / Nate McMillan (10)
Rick Barry (40) / Chris Mullin (8)
Andrei Kirilenko (40) / Nick Collison (8)
Nate Thurmand (40) / Nick Collison (8)

We've got shooting, scoring and defense on the perimeter and rim protection, defense and scoring in the post. Frazier keeps SGA from going off. Reggie and Ant cancel each other out. Barry scores on OG. AK47 wins his matchup with Metta World Peace. Thurmand wins his matchup with Turner. Our bench is better.

I thought Frazier Miller was more complementary than SGA Edwards and Barry is a superb third option. Your defense was better but hoops had more legit offensive weapons

NAW/Sefoloshia also fills the same role off the bench as a larger POA defender who can defend up but isn't ideal defending larger wings, like both SGA/ANT.

Meanwhile, Hoopsyfan has Nate/Mullin, who have clearly defined and different roles.

Small thing, but it helped as it was a close match-up. It appears LarryBird may still win this one.
