Matchup- Defensive assignments: Paul vs Oscar, Allen vs Klay, Anunoby vs Kawhi, Mobley vs Barkley, Wilt vs Cowens.
- We match up well here. The leading duo of Kawhi and Barkley have to face Anunoby and Mobley + Wilt anchoring the paint against the paint-oriented Cowens (and Jones off the bench). Allen is the only non-elite defender on the lineup, but he's a pretty solid one still against Klay. Havlicek will have some important defensive minutes on Klay or Oscar, and also some on Kawhi, with Jones/Mobley as other great versatile forwards against Kawhi.
- Both teams feature five stars lineup, with Havlicek being a lethal option off the bench and still playing 32 minutes. Anunoby-Jones-Anthony give us a real depth advantage over Posey-Blake-Ajinca with the latter two barely playable (comparing Portland backup PGs, Blake is towards retirement, and there's a significant TS% difference of 55% vs 50.7%, better defense for Anthony and real role for a contender).
