No First Club Rings Draft - R1 - Mr Ringer* vs Fadeaway_J

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

Total: 87.5/88.0

The build is pretty straightforward here: we space the floor around an inside-outside combo of two of the most dominant individual scorers in the game today. SGA is ably supported by White's shooting and secondary ballhandling. Lewis is the kind of stretch 4 Embiid has always dreamed of, providing him with more room to operate on the block. Throw in Bridges as a 3-and-D glue guy, and there's nobody here you can feel comfortable leaving to help on SGA or Embiid. Defensively, our perimeter/wing rotation is stacked with White, Bridges, Beverley, SGA, and Tucker allowing us to cope with a variety of different threats. Embiid and Bogut gives us 48 minutes of elite rim protection, while White and SGA is as good a pair of help defenders as you'll find at the guard spots, so points in the paint will be hard to come by.

Matchup
- We'll line up with White on Stockton, Bridges on Harden, SGA on AK-47, Lewis on Chuck, and Embiid on Gasol. Tucker and his fire hydrant frame will also see some minutes against Chuck. SGA sloughs off AK to muck things up around the basket and help Lewis deal with Chuck.
- We have multiple places to attack here. AK is the only starter with the tools to guard SGA, but that seriously damages his help defensive framework, which is a concern when you start both Harden and Chuck. In any case we can always run screening actions with our other shooters to get the matchups we want and let SGA got to work. We also like the inattentive Chuck guarding Lewis, as any gaffes will be severely punished with an open triple for a 40% shooter.
- Mr Ringer's group has plenty of talent but the theory of how that starting group works is unclear. A Harden team with virtually no three-point shooting, no roll men, and several other players who are best with the ball in their hands is far from optimal; I'm particularly skeptical of Harden-Chuck as a fit. The lack of off-ball threats makes it easier for us to key in on the two stars, especially since both are fairly deliberate in how they operate.

Good luck Mr Ringer.

John Stockton 97' - 9.3
James Harden 18' - 20.1
Andrei Kirilenko 04' - 11.9
Charles Barkley 90' - 14.9
Marc Gasol 13' - 10.9

George Hill 20' - 6.4
Rick Fox 02' - 7.4
Antonio Davis 99' - 7.1

88/88

Stockton 35\Hill 13
Harden 38\Hill 10
Kirilenko 32\Fox 16
Barkley 38\Davis 10
Gasol 38\ Davis 10

On offense I have a prefect set-up
Harden is my star, in one of the most prolific offensive seasons, and the team he needs around him.
Barkley isn't a 3-pt shooter but is very mobile and a threat from everywhere inside the arc.
Gasol can "park" himself inside but is very mobile as well, with a great playmaking attributes.
Stockton is a top 3 playmaker OAT, that can build the offense for Harden and make him the ideal 2nd-playmaker on the team
I have huge scoring upside with Barkley alongside Harden - not forcing himself yet takes his chances on the highest efficiency (60% Fg on 14 FGA, 25 PPG), with Kirilenko, Stockton and Gasol all having a great, versatile scoring abilities of their own.

On defense I have Stockton to lead my perimeter defense with Gasol as DPOY to run it inside and cover Embiid.
Barkley is also a great defender and should handle Lewis' pretty well.
Kirilenko is a top-tier defender in every attribute, and with a few kind-of-limited offensive players in White, Mikal and Rashard a bit too, he can help with everyone. Between them all, Harden's slight liability defensively is coverd

I have George Hill to cover the playmaking roll perfectly off the bench, and him and Rick Fox who compliments me with more shooting.
With them I have Antonio Davis who can play perfect both next to Sir Charles or next to Gasol to keep the high efficiency scoring and high-pressure defense at all times

Nice team fade, good luck
