Only All Stars who made 2nd or 3rd All NBA as their highest accolade (no First teamers or All Stars without All NBA).

Is it interesting enough to build around these guys as your first option? I cannot think of many players who fit the criteria who can realistically be the 1A on a championship team

Something else we can do around All NBA accolades could be something like:
1 All NBA First guy
1 All NBA Second guy
1 All NBA Third guy

Of course you can downgrade a category, so the last one can be someone like Rasheed who has no All NBA accolades at all

For me that was kind of the point. Build a team that functions without a classic “hand him the ball and get out of the way” type star.

As to your suggestion, I don’t mind it personally but I’ve gotten the vibe folks are a little tired of drafts where individual picks are limited in this manner.

I think that’s part of the reason the state/country draft gained no traction.

Thought about a pair draft involving in season tourney teams, but then I realized I don’t care about the in season tournament.

Not overly excited about pair drafts tbh. They end far too quickly. The 1st and the last pick in particular select half their team in a single turn. That said, if we are doing a pairs draft, I'd love us to do a Christmas game. It has become a tradition in this board. Christmas are 2 weeks away. It could be our next game.

Yeah. The Christmas draft was originally my idea. This should be done before Christmas.

I enjoy pair drafts as an occasional format. I actually like drafts with lower time commitment from time to time.

I agree our next pair draft should be Christmas.
