Detroit's GM seems pretty sure that Al Harrington would opt out. I felt differently when I was going through the player options. And I felt the only fair way to deal with it was to have a vote especially since we have a few days until free agency starts.
Al Harrington makes just over 10 million with his option next year. Also, Detroit will have Harrington inactive on his roster for 2010.
So I'm asking for other players opinion, would Al Harrington opt out of his contract?

Re: Vote on Al Harrington
Thanks for the poll skorff.
Also keep in mind that Al was inactive for the portion of the 09 season that Detroit had him so the youngsters could develop and concentrate on becoming a defensive unit.
So would Al want to come back and most likely ride the pine only to end up in the super deep 2010 free agent class or would he opt out in the much thinner 09 free agent class?

Al is going to get a little more than the MLE max if he opts out, or probably just the MLE, i dont see him leaving 4 million bucks on the table. He would stay and ask to be traded i feel.

Actually that sounds about right Mascot. I'll hold onto him and try and make his wish of being dealt come true. I needed a good reason as to why he would stay and you gave it to me so thanks.

Harrington wouldn't opt out. He is talented enough that he will get his deal no matter what. Once the Lebron/Bosh/Wade delusions disappear from the minds of GMs they will see a competent and consistant scoring threat which at a fraction of the cost of the big 3.

^This is for the GM a Team Game players only, don't know why you are posting here.
EDIT - welcome back
Anyway
It is safe to say that the consenesus is he will return for the year. I already added his name and salary on to this year's roster.
