Next, there will be a trading period prior to the draft and 2008-2009 salaries will be used.
Also, I was hoping to wait until after April 27 (last day for underclassmen to declare) to perform the draft (3 weeks away), mainly since later on in the game if we plan to sim the 2009-2010 season, it would likely be on 2k10 and this way the draft picks that were picked in our 2009 draft would coincide with the real life picks; thus it would make for a lot more accurate sim. If you have a problem with this e-mail me about it skorf26@yahoo.com
I am going to send out an e-mail to any team's that still need a roster done up, and as soon as they are up; trading can begin (I'm hoping to open up trading tomorrow or maybe later tonight if a few more rosters go up).
Almost done my roster, it'll be up 2night. 3 weeks is excessive, lets just do 1 week of trading and then draft. We have a pretty good idea of who is declaring for the draft (roughly).
Ideally I would prefer 1 or 2 weeks as well; the only problem is we won't know which underclassmen would have declared by then this leads to a few problems
1) if we do sim the 2009-2010 season, there may be several players (possibly some lottery picks) that were either drafted but actually didn't declare; or who declared but weren't drafted and it would make the sim that much more difficults
2) also if we do have a 2010 draft; it would be nice for it to be as accurate as possible as to who would still be in the draft
-We do roughly know who is declaring, but there's a handful of guys that could be 1st round picks that may stay in school (Willie Warren, Patrick Patterson, Jrue Holiday, Cole Aldrich, Kyle Singler, Greg Monroe, Evan Turner, Austin Daye) and of course there's rubio as well
