GM a Dynasty - 2000 Voting

While I like what LA's done...is no one concerned about their scoring? Or their depth? I'd like to hear some arguments for justification of them over any of SAS, Indy, Toronto and Portland.

They've got Rahim, who was a volume scorer on pretty low percentages for a big man on atrocious teams...think worse rebounding ZBo. Odom has always been talented to the max, but never overly impressive, and with a guy like Kidd running the show, his lack of shooting is going to seriously, seriously clog the lane (to be fair, he's been a pretty good cutter his entire career, so if the floor is spread, he should see some RJ type looks around the basket) Finley is probably underrated by some, does anyone think he can be a number one option on a top 3 team in a 12 team league?

Finley cannot be a number one option. I saw him meanwhile he was with Dallas. It atrocious to watch him play at the end of games had some of the worst shot selection i had seen. Shot at least 2 or 3 fadeaway 3's in the fourth trying to score desperately for the Mavs.

During the game before the 4th quarter he was pretty good but not that reliable as a scorer more of a streaky shooter, if it was going down he wouldn't miss. If it wasn't he'd go something like 5-21. In other words very inconsistent to be a number one option.

are you talking about the 1999/2000 Finley that you watched when you were 6 ?

Finley was the lone All Star and one of the best players in the league. He was far and away the best player on the Mavs. He even finished 13th in the MVP voting and almost carried that young Mavs team into the playoffs. He shot a very good percentage from the field and from 3 and was not a gunner.

1 - San Antonio - incredible team, twin towers surrounded by a very nice team and bench depth
2 - Indiana - I was afriad they'd be overlooked Webbers passing game on this team is very nice, was close for me for 1st but they are easily 2nd
3 - LA Clippers - Underrated and great balance with and elite defensive C and PG.
4 - Toronto - I loved the Artest trade and combined with the defensive frontcourt and Carter my himetown team has a bright future and are very good right now
5 - Portland - Deeper as ****. I love their frontcourt, nice mix of youth and vets.
6 - Minnesota - Shaq. Decent supporting cast but really needed moer depth. Still have the most dominant player in the league.
8 - Detroit - Good veteran team but lacking depth, I like what they put around Hill though and Payton was a great pick.
11 - Chicago - Young team with a bright future. Scary team soon.
5 - LA Lakers - Incredible 1 - 2 punch but supporting pieces are very young.
10 - Dallas - AI and Dirk are great offensive players but other then that not much on the team. Good future perhaps, nice picks stashed away oversea's.
11 - Orlando - rebuilding

To be fair they are very impressive on defense and both finley and odom can spread the floor and rahim could a bit as well. Finley was a star back then, and Rahim and Odom can help with the scoring load.

I weight defense very heavily when I judge and and Mutombo was a DPY type player and Kidd was a monster as well.

lol no im talking about what i watched when i was like 12 around 03-04, 04-05. I wish i had seen him then i've only seen a lone playoff game against Utah i believe it was game 5.

- I will give them till later tonight to get them in. I will do a draft lottery tomorrow (bottom 3 tyeams are in lottery)
- Draft will start on Saturady afternoon with 2 hours inbetween picks or autopicked (unless someone has a list). I want to finish the draft by Sunday night
- extension and resigning offers can be sent starting Wed with free agency start Friday morning

Hopefully all agree and we can move this along smooth and quick
