The Charlotte Bobcats and the Dallas Mavericks have a trade to announce.

The Charlotte Bobcats Receive:
SG John Salmons ($8,500,000)
2012 1st Round pick (via Dallas)

The Dallas Mavericks Receive:
SG Keith Bogans ($$1,728,000)

This creates a TPE for Dallas worth $6,772,000.


Bobcats accept.

John Salmons is probably a few million overpaid, but he'll fit in nicely with Devin Harris and Stephen Jackson at SG. We'll have one of the best defensive backcourts in the NBA, and Salmons will be an excellent glue guy. We think he'll be a nice fit, and a good combination with Anthony Morrow.

Dallas accepts. Dallas finally gets under the cap while adding one of the best defensive SGs in the game. Good deal Charlotte.

Milwaukee, Dallas and San Antonio have agreed on a 3-way deal-

Milwaukee out: Mike Miller ($5,000,000) Ronny Turiaf ($4,360,000)

Milwaukee in: McDyess, Diogu, Ian Mahinmi

Dallas out: Samuel Dalembert ($6,000,000), Mahinmi ($885,120) , Diogu ($854,389)

Dallas in: Mike Miller ($5,000,000), Ronny Turiaf ($4,360,000)

San Antonio out : Antonio McDyess ($4,860,000)

San Antonio in: Samuel Dalembert ($6,000,000)

Milwaukee gets rid of an unneeded player in Mike Miller and uses San Antonio to swap out Dalembert for McDyess. We feel this is a win for all teams involved. The productive players went to win-now teams, and the shorter contracts cam to rebuilding Milwaukee.

Dallas accepts. We facilitate a trade while adding depth at the SF position. Turiaf is a nice bench player who will continue the energy when Hayes is resting, and will become an immediate fan favourite.

Glad to add a player who gives his all to his team. Good dealing Indy.

The Portland Trail Blazers & Toronto Raptors want to announce the following trade:

Portland sends Mike Conley Jr and Luke Babbitt to Toronto for

D J Augustin and Sam Young

The Blazers lose the Ohio State Connection of Conley & Oden, but still end up with an outstanding young PG who was noted for his man defense coming into the NBA. Sam Young was outstanding after the All Star break and the Blazers move Babbitt's potential for a solid backup 3 that plays much bigger than his 6'6" frame.

This trade was pre confirmed to the commissioner as Toronto's GM is in the UK (3AM already).

- Toronto has $20m capspace to absorb the difference in salary

I confirmed via email to the commissioner at 2am UK time, my reasoning is that I prefer Conley as a PG. People kinda looked down on him until the playoffs, and considering he came into the league early, is still just 23, I think he's going to improve further in the next couple of years. Losing Young hurts but at the end of the day he's a replaceable player. Babbitt holds little value but let's not forget he was drafted 16th in a deep draft for a reason - he'll get plenty of minutes here in Toronto to prove he's still the player he was in college.

NY traded Redd after signing him, therefore he should be a free agent after waivers, no? regardless, Dallas revokes the request.
