Re: The NBA Is Back! Trades Thread
#106: BOS and POR have a trade to announce:
Part 1:
To Portland:
Derek Fisher ($3,400,000)
To Boston:
TPE from TOR trade (had nearly 5M left on it)
Part 2:
To Portland:
Dahntay Jones ($2,700,000)
To Boston:
Ronnie Price ($854,389)
James Anderson ($1,402,540)
Total: 2,256,929 * 1.5 + 100,000 = 3,485,394
Deal works.
POR accepts. We upgrade at 2 positions by giving up a bit of youth. Fisher is a great mentor in the playoffs, and with us having a couple young guys, he will be a great presence. Jones is a lock down defender.

Confirmed.
We get some salary dump with two backups that had too much salary for my liking, and get a great SG/SF backup in Anderson, we believe he was a steal last year one of many from SAS, and will develop into a good backup even starter may be.

sterncohen wrote:Indiana and San Antonio have a trade. (Edit - that's #103)
IND in / SAN out:
Chris Andersen - $4,869,100
SAN in / IND out:
2012 Indiana 2nd
Indiana has cap space, and SAN also gets a TPE equal to Andersen's salary.
Indiana accepts. Wanted a true backup C who plays great defense, and Andersen fits the bill.
Even though trading is ended, i still want to confirm this deal (i had no chance to get to my computer earlier). This deal gives us some money, because we feel almost 5 mil isn't what a 3rd stringer should get.
