NJ keeps posting "Dwight or BUST" so I used him as an example. By no means is this about him, just using his roster (that was his current roster page) to show how your page will be needed to be posted when the time comes



as you can see, he is over the cap with his holds so can only offer Dwight the MLE
- notice I also listed that! you have to list it as a cap hold or we will assume you are waiving it
- also note I made up a TPE, they also got to be listed as a hold or we will assume you waived them
- also note I listed his 3 1st round picks (used draftnet mock for the slot so no one get offended) they are also cap holds

now, say he can trade away/buyout
- remeber you gotta pay more then the player is owned to buy them out since it is getting washed off free and clear(unlike NBA). estimate 500k extra (and it will be rounded up to even half mil

he waives the cap hold for Humph, TPE and MLE

- notice I listed the min cap hold which is needed. You have to have 11 cap holds to make a FA offer, the offer is the 12th.

So this is what is needed to make the $18,000,000 max offer to Dwight

Cool, didn't know other cap holds (pick, D-Will) count in the 11-player thing.

also note on the 2nd idea, you can only offer DWill a deal starting at $17,432,234 (over 500k less then max) if you are offering Dwight a max deal.

I got that by adding the extra $254,439 in cap to his cap hold

Yeah I think it would be fair to give teams this flexibility (As in IRL) provided they clearly demonstrate on their roster they can afford the FA's in question when cap holds are waived.

exactly, plus you can recind a QO that you already offered a RFA. The key here is you gotta list these things on your roster page or you can not use them. and as luke pointed out, if you have them listed and will waive them to sign someone, it MUST be described and prove that you have the space

ex. Nj can say, I waive Humphs $12m cap hold and replace it with a Min cap hold (490,180) to get the extra $11,509,820 cap thats needed

A simple solution would be to have each team list the total maximum amount that they can get under the cap.
