Can we speed up the deadline? Four days seems like a little long. Shouldn't take more than twenty minutes out of your day to get your write up done.

Maybe we could move it up to the morning of the 8th, but I don't think much farther. I posted that date up there, and now everyone has planned for that. We do have like 20 writeups done, but there are a few that just have the team name posted, and I'm assuming will finish them by the 8th. Maybe if everyone who has posted has finished by the morning of the 8th, I'll open up the rankings then, but I dont think any earlier, it just wouldn't be fair to those who planned to do them later.

Are we just going to rank on best job? IMO that seems like the best way to rank, and the easiest.

Yeah, I'd agree that ranking by best job is the best way to go. I've never been a big fan of the win now/rebuild/overall category since two of those categories take into account things that might not do w/ the overall GM'ing job that was done (and after all, that's what we are judging). The simple alternative we've used was to name the team you believe will win it this year, and the champion, something like five years in the future -- that also cuts down having to rank potentially 30 teams three times, which would just lead to prolonged ranking times, and no sense of a "true" winner sort thing.

Yeah, for this one, I think we'll just have an overall ranking, similar to what we have been doing.

I also think I'm going to move the deadline up to tonight. I'll get them closed up sometime tonight, since we have 25 writeups which is a great turnout, and a few of the people who haven't submitted them I don't expect to. Plus, since we have 24 people signed up for next game, we should get this moving.
