2012/13 and beyond... RULE CHANGES

There will be a change in amnesty rules for 2012/13 season as well as future games.

Once a player clears the wait time for teams under the cap to acquire them via a blind bid they will become available to all teams to bid on for another 24 hours via the use of either cap space or MLE. This will also be blind bid. IF that 24 hours is also cleared then they will be 1st come 1st served in the signings thread with no bid needed.

Amnesties, buy outs, waivers will all have the initial 48 hours cut to 24 hours for 12/13 as well as future games.

The mini MLE will also have a change. as of right now you get 2 to use in a 2 year period with an additional 2 to use in the 2 years that follow initial 2 years.

now...

the 4th will not exist. I am only removing 1 of them for this game so after the initial 2 for 2 years has been used you will only have 1 more that must be used in the next 2 year period.

This will be changed even further for the next version of the game to 1 mini amnesty for every 2 seasons and only 2 total within the 4 year period.

A player can only have 1 mini amnesty used on them so no stacking.

Lux tax will now be split among all teams under lux cap

The 76ers and Pistons are both available

76ers look a lot different now due to past owner making trades and amnestied Brand. You can see the rosters on page 2 of the Own a Team - Rosters thread that is stickied above. DET has only amnestied Ben Gordon and picked up DeMarcus Cousins in the contraction draft that started the game.

Yeah, I would take that old Pistons roster, erase Ben Gordon (amnestied) and then add in the following cap holds:

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: cap hold for 3rd pick: 3,444,400
Tony Wroten: No cap hold for 2nd rounder

Since free agency is starting now, the cap is at 55m, so it looks like your at MLE territory still, take a bit and look to see who is worth your mle.

The one trick here is each team can take a single player and basically shave 5m off the cap hit for them, but that doesn't look to change your cap space barring a trade moving a bunch of salary.

Oh, and I'm Atlanta.

Then if your still down, take a look at the fa's as you would have about 7m in space (with a lower cap and less teams hopefully it goes a little further, and there is the with room mini 2.5 exception if you do use the cap space. Or start swapping players and beginning that retool.

Please get your rosters up as soon as possible. Easiest way is to quote the old one then copy/paste and remove the quote tags.

DET will not have it quite as easy since the salary part is an image and not type.

Make sur to read the rules in the OP of the roster thread so you know what will be required info.

As would I. Whether it's Indy or any other team that becomes available. Just got home from college for the summer, and my job doesn't start for another month, so I have literally NOTHING to do until then! And even then I'll be very free.

Please let me know if I can have a team, and/or what I need to do with that team immediately. I can get started ASAP tonight.

I would suggest you copy/paste TOR roster into your own post then remove the quote tags.

After roster is posted...

Going to have to figure out who is on my roster. Looks like he did a poor job of updating it. Once i get it sorted out and find out who my rfa are I will shoot you offers.
