If Patty Mills really is available, Washington offers a $3m/three years at a flat $1m each year.

Phoenix Waives Mickael Pietrus

We wanted to respect Mickael's wishes to go to a contender. PHX will pay Mickael what we are contractually obligated to pay him for the remainder of the season.

Phoenix Buys Brad Miller Out

Phoenix has agreed to pay Miller $1,000,000 to cover the $848,000 guaranteed portion of his 2012/2013 salary. Phoenix will continue to pay Miller his salary for this season as well. It is our hope that Brad can join a contender.

Phoenix Buys Renaldo Balkman Out

Phoenix has agreed to pay Balkman the $1,675,000 owed to him for his 2012/2013 salary. Phoenix will continue to pay Balkman his salary for this season as well.

Phoenix Buys Sebastian Telfair Out

Phoenix has agreed to pay Telfair the $550,000 owed to him for his 2012/2013 salary. Phoenix will continue to pay Telfair his salary for this season as well.

PHX's Cash Balance is reduced by $3,225,000 as a result.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought if Brad was to be bought out, it'll will cost his full amount of 5.1m AND the whole thing will come off next year cap.

But if Brad was to be waived, it'll only cost the 848k in Capspace for next season(guaranteed portion) with no cash hit (The -7m to +7m range)

In the future, you must run all buyouts through me so that I can make sure they are all legal.

One thing we have decided about partially guaranteed guys, is that you have to buy out his full salary, or just waive him and take the cap hit, you can use cash to pay off someone that isn't playing for (or won't be playing for) your team.

Understood. Must have missed that discussion.

In any event, both Miller and Telfair have been waived. Phoenix will represent the appropriate cap hit as a result of Miller's $848,000 and Talfair's $550,000 guaranteed salary next season, as well as continue to carry their full 2011/2012 salary.
