Buck Williams

Magic needs to play next to a man in goggles.

Buck set the tone for the Blazers on the defensive end and sacrificed his offensive volume to fit in. He really took them from a good team to a great team.

Mookie Blaylock

Wanted a top 5 defensive pg all time who could ignite the break with steals, hit the 3 a little and distribute. Really worried he'll be underrated but I like him better than a lot of pgs that have already been taken.

I need a back up big man who can play both the 4 and 5 spot. I wanted someone who can be effective on both ends of the floor. The Chicago Stags select:

Brad Miller

Just a skilled big man. Very good passer and jump shooter. He'll be able to work effectively with either Duncan or Camby whenever he's giving one of them a breather.

With the 108th pick in the 90's to Now Fantasy Draft, ChicagoSportsFan21 selects...

Spoiler:
Ron Harper-PG/SG-Chicago Bulls

Image

I was thinking of a couple players here, but I ended up going with Harper due to his versatility of playing the point or shooting guard position as well as being effective 2 way player. He's a very underrated player who went from 20 PPG scorer to 10 PPG for the sake of the team who didn't complain, he just played hard on both ends. He's ability to guard 1-3 is vital as well making the right decisions to know when to score/pass. Role players are key to winning championships, and he knows what it takes to win by winning many championships.

Really liked what I saw from this guy in this year's playoffs and I'm hoping that counts for something when we do our own playoffs after the draft.

2015-16

Andre Roberson

A long, quick, and athletic defender. Just the guy I need.

Well I gave chuck a list but I'm here so might as well pick.

I'll take 2011 Arron Afflalo.

62% TS, 42% from 3, and only 9 FGA. Solid defensively as well

With the 118th pick, the Chicago Staggs select:

2013/14 - Cory Joseph

I wanted a backup PG who can come in, run the offense but more importantly be a good defender. Cory had his playoff moments for the Spurs. The biggest takeaway for me was his on ball and perimeter defense. I love having that off the bench. He can also play both guard positions which gives me more flexibility.

This is just too damn funny and poetic not to do. Back on May 31st, this was posted in the Discussion thread —

The Brain-Dead Kennedys select Charles Barkley (year TBD; in fact, I may even have to edit the pic to a Sixers uniform).

No name dropping

So I might as well come full circle and pick the name Hoppin dropped when he asked, "What about ..."

The Brain-Dead Kennedys select Kenny "The Jet" Smith (year TBD).

I think he's a perfect backup PG for my team — a winner, a leader, and a > 40% 3-point shooter on low FGAs who even played alongside other PGs at times (meaning I can go small and play him some spot minutes at SG). Most importantly, since I now have 2/3's of the Inside the NBA crew, I believe Hopping is morally obligated to trade me Shaq. Am I right? PMOTT, you can force that deal through, can't you? :D
