Not really a vet, but I could do Jerian Grant or Calderon for Covington

Don't think either of those have value approaching Covington's. I'd give you Landry for Calderon or Holmes and a 2nd for Grant.

Are you interested in trading Covington at all? I was looking to give you more value, but I was constrained by the two-month rule (can't retrade any piece of the Rose trade as part of a package). I could give you Grant+SAC pick for Covington, but I could not find whether I can offer that before August 28. I guess if you are interested in something along those lines, we could do a handshake agreement

Since it looks like I'm going to miss out on all of my top SF choices, I don't think I can really move Covington now.

Are you interested in Monroe for Evans, Asik and Pondexter?

Edit: ATM I would actually prefer your 2017 2nd instead of Pondexter. But this offer is only good on Day 3.

Hey Chuck, what would you want for Snell?

Also, whoever's running Toronto, what's Ross going to cost me?

In keeping with the grand Atlanta Hawks tradition of making marginal wings into competent starters, I might have to step out of the Baze sweepstakes—he's getting pretty expensive, and I want to make a run at some other FAs next year.

Thank you for the offer, but I'm already heavy at the PG position and can't afford to take on more salary at this time.

Perhaps something like a 2nd and the rights to Nemanja Dangubic?

I will get back to you with this deal when I get off work later tonight.

Sounds good

Miami plans to match any offer sheet Tyler Johnson signs

I could offer Archie Goodwin and John Jenkins. Archie did fairly well starting a PG for about a month, and Jenkins is a pretty good 3rd SG, both on extremely cheap contracts.

Looks like the starting point for Baze is 19mil/per IRL.

Yeah, if the bidding reaches that for him here, I'm noping out as fast as possible.

I love Baze, but that's insanity.

John Hammonds calls Courtney Lee's agent while Jason Kidd calls Courtney himself. They both stress how they were the first team to offer him a contract and how he has always been their #1 option to start next to Giannis. His veteran leadership and shooting are the missing pieces to their young starting lineup and will make them a contender for home court starting next season. The Bucks again increase their offer to 4yrs/$47.5MM with a starting salary just over $11.1MM with 4.5% raises. They give him the option of fully guaranteeing the 4th year or making it a player option.

Well, that's the market, look what Turner got. Real life GMs are greedier than you folks I guess :)

Real life is adversely affecting the sanity of the free agent bidding in this game.

GS would like to trade a player on a rookie deal for a veteran SF. Thanks have TPE 3.2 5.2 to absorb salary

Kings iffer 4 years at 48 million, traded away a very good center to create cap room juat for him, give him an actual starting job(not competing with Middleton) and reunite him with Dave Joerger. Player option on year four

FYI Lee would be playing SG or offense while guarding opposing PGs on defense while Middleton slides up to SF on offense and down to SG on defense. They will be playing alongside one another not splitting time which means he will get even more open looks. He also will not have to deal with a dysfunctional front office and volatile star player while getting to play in a brand new state of the are arena once it opens.

I made an offer to Bayless for the Sixers yesterday but it feels wrong to make him another offer here now that the Sixers actually signed him. So I'm going to go a different direction and offer Jeremy Lin a 2 yr / 30 mil contract to come in and be our point guard.

That was soooo 2014. Get with the times. Quit drinking the national media kool aid. Vlade is steering the ship in the right direction and lee knows joerger all too well and both have mutual respect for each other.

Mock Off-Season: Day 3

Post#119 » by Streakers33 » Fri Jul 1, 2016 9:12 pm

Minny has watched the phones and media work. And decides the west is more available then thoughts before.

Stretch pek. Opening up almost 9 million.

Restructure kg's coach / player role to be 2 years at 4 million per year. Saving 4 million.

Offer joe Johnson and Lou deng over dinner 2 years each at 5 million a year to come in and be their versital role players to keep the young pups in line. Kg with thibs explains he needs a hand in keeping throw team running forward ! U can have the second year be player option if u choose.

Will make a phone call to Courtney lees agent and see if he would even be interested in being a timber pup and playing under thibs. ( putting a feeler out there to tempt lee)

Shbazz, bj, tyus are available if u need some cheap young players.

My bad. I missed the deng signing. I pull back my offer. With the new info out there I'll hold back on the offer to joe Johnson. I'll let him know we is interested. But we forgot to look at the wire and missed another target was signed.

We will then call Courtney lee and bid him up, after seeing he is being targeted.
Will offer 4 year 60 million to him.
16,16,15,15 with last year being a player option if wanted. We would love to have u as our combo wing to team up with wiggy and Lavine to make a serious wing attack that is fresh and ready to battle the wests elite wings in the playoffs. We feel that Lavine can be a dynamic six man and feel that as a starter, u can push this team far in the playoffs.

We will show the depth chart to him very capable to scare the west

Rubio/Dunn/tyus
Lee/Lavine
Wiggins/shbazz
Parsons/bj/Payne
Towns/deing/

Mascot KG.

We will wait to hear your decision. !
