I was wondering about the logic of the Noah pick to begin with. I mean, not the ideal way to use your category 2, but I thought you must be aware he's an All Star. Anyhow, I'll be nice and enable you to either: 1) switch Noah in your Bulls pick, 2) drop Noah and add someone in your Indy pick, 3) switch your Indy pick completely

More than generous, thanks. When I started looking at early Noah the accolades just slipped my mind. Besides I wanted to keep my illegal pick streak alive,

By the way, kind of a hard decision as a commissioner. One of the reasons I'm allowing the fix is I don't think anyone else could've gotten Noah considering available categories, so it really didn't spoil any other plan expect potentially Laimbeer's. So that is the mitigating effect here. I wouldn't allow changing Butler though - he may have been part of other people's plans, like ReggiesKnicks.

Anyhow, allowing to fix one's mistakes, small or large, probably shouldn't be a habit, and be reserved for unique situations. This specific situation was somewhat borderline.

It doesn't mean drafters shouldn't be more careful in future cases. No one assures you you'll get the chance to fix to your intended plan.

I'd say have Laimbeer's Bulls pick become just Butler but he drafts a 3rd Pacer

What guys were you really considering drafting?

For me it was Cade Cunningham

Slightly surprised both Magic and Steph didn't get drafted. Really thought DB would go with Magic

Like the Kareem pick though

I thought durantbird was setting up a Magic team as well.

After my first pick, the only major decision for me was whether to take Frazier or Penny. I went with Frazier because he was cheaper and the Knicks actually had some useful role players to take with him.

My strongest dilemma was whether to go Kareem Allen or Kareem Deron. Couldn't pass on Allen though.

Almost went Steph Klay in round 2. Left Steph Klay Draymond as the first option to Fade but wasn't sure what to do if only part of the trio is available. So ultimately the route changed

Part of the drawback in leaving lists, especially in a draft like that. Too many scenarios to prepare to and plan

I almost went

Steph
Reggie Miller
Klay THompson
Paul George
Myles Turner

in the first 2 rounds....lol. Would have been a high shooting 3pt teams.

I have hopes for Cade but he's not at the level where he's worth 20+ FGA yet.

Spending that much on a category 4 player just makes it harder to get more out of the other categories. I was definitely interested in Magic but too much value was stripped from him when DB made the pick he made.

Speaking from broadly a game perspective, I actually think it would have been better, rather than splitting category 3 and 4, to simply limit each pick to two all stars. That still would have nerfed the Celtics and would have made the rest of the draft less annoying.

I could have gone Holiday/Pierce/Bridges/Bird and then I think I would've taken Mourning in Round 3 over Ewing to have more field goals for late round 4 pick, I would not have gotten White but still could've got Odom. May have given me a better chance but I wanted to try the Wilt and Draymond frontcourt route after wondering if Square could have beat me the previous game if he went that route.

I came very close to biting the poison apple and drafting McGrady. Would have been a squeeze so I ended up with George

BTW if we're talking about active young players, Haliburton was much higher on my radar
