Memphis Accepts. We hate losing some of our depth, but we're excited to gain a player like Bogut. We like what Meeks can bring to the table as well.

Re: GM a Team 2010 - Trades & Transactions Thread
The Bulls and Mavericks have come to an agreement on a deal:
CHI trades/DAL receives:
Brad Miller $8,000,000
Kelenna Azubuike $6,000,000
Darrell Arthur $1,123,680
Total: $15,123,680
DAL trades/CHI receives:
Tayshaun Prince $11,147,760
DeSagana Diop $6,478,600
DaJuan Summers $762,195
DAL 2011 2nd round pick
Total: $18,388,555
15,123,680 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 19,004,600
19,004,600 > 18,388,555
Bulls accept. Prince gives us a true SF and allows us to move Beasley to his more natural position, PF.

Dallas accepts and is glad to bring Miller to play with our team. Sad to see Prince go but he wasn't gonna get that much playing time and would not have been happy.

Re: GM a Team 2010 - Trades & Transactions Thread
Sacramento and Dallas have come to an agreement on a deal
Brandon Haywood and Raja Bell are both BYC and their salaries count as 50% for incoming salary purposes via Larry Coon
Dallas Outgoing/Sac Incoming
Gerald Wallace $9,500,000
Brandon Haywood out value $7,000,000
$16,500,000
Dallas Allowable Incoming
Gerald Wallace $9,500,000
Brandon Haywood in value $3,500,000
$13,000,000 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $16,350,000 > $15,545,000 Sacramento Outgoing
Sac Outgoing/Dallas Incoming
Emeka Okafor $11,795,000
Raja Bell $3,750,000 out value
$15,545,000
Sac Allowable Incoming
Emeka Okafor $11,795,000
Raja Bell $1,875,000 in value
$13,670,000 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $17,187,500 > $16,500,000 Dallas Outgoing
Why? I feel i have upgraded in talent with this trade or I wouldnt have made it. That is all.

OK, it works regardless though, as I have the cap space to absorp the difference in salaries. (check my roster page, newly updated, for proof.) So basically we won't use the 1.25 rule; instead, we'll just use the fact that I had enough cap space to make up the difference in salaries.

Dallas accepts because we get to put a good young center next to Dirk.

It works because BYC only affects the outgoing total.

You had the math correct in the 1st post, this one is wrong based on how this game treats FA signings/BYC.
The deal(based on original math) will be approved once the 12 hour wait period rolls around.

Re: GM a Team 2010 - Trades & Transactions Thread
Indiana and Charlotte have agreed to a trade:
Charlotte sends/Indiana recieves:
Leandro Barbosa $7,100,000
Nenad Krstic $5,543,116
Total: $12,643,116
Indiana sends/Charlotte recieves:
T.J. Ford $8,500,000
Goran Dragic $1,972,000
Omri Casspi $1,254,480
2011 Dallas 1st
Total $11,726,480 x 1.25 = $14,625,000
Bobcats accept. Our point guard position is thin, and I think that Casspi is going to be a very good player for us. Dragic gives me some depth to work with, and the first is icing in the cake. I take a hit at my center position, but I signed Sean Williams and Darko Milicic with a trade just like this in mind. TJ Ford may [or may not be] soon be traded.
EDIT: The Bobcats have 14 players on their roster including Favors after this trade.

Re: GM a Team 2010 - Trades & Transactions Thread
Indy realizes that 2011 1sts aren't worth much in the voting process of this game. Dallas' 2011 is a low one, and Indy clears roster spots with this. TJ Ford was dead weight, as was Dragic, and thus this is all comes down to Barbosa for Casspi and the extra roster space and Nenad Krstic. Indy will have 15 players left on the roster after this trade.
