^I am still holding out hope that skorf fixes the mess he made.

Miami will trade their newly extended superstar for another which they immediately put on the trading block. LeBron could end up playing for a crap team in BFE all so he can get his max raises, pathetic.

San Antonio has 11.75 million dollars in capspace that they are willing to use. So anyone that is looking to join in late in the Joe Johnson/Kobe Bryant sweepstakes and needs some extra capspace let me know.

I am also willing to use Eric Maynor, capspace and anyone else on my roster to land an upgrade at PG.

Let me know of any offers.

I am simply doing what every other GM does in this game. Perhaps I should have been clearer, but I sincerely doubt either Duncan or LeBron will be moved during the remainder of this game. I am specifically looking for pieces that may fit LeBron better. However, I would like to be able to entertain offers. Is that so wrong?

I just call it, like I see it and IMO the 09/10 season was a joke. I am not the only one thinking this.

This game, just like real life, involves delusions of grandeur. only one team can have each player. Things don't always go like the team would like. Chicago had capspace out the wazoo in the early 2000s and thought they were getting prime tmac and time duncan...it's NOT always going to work in your favor. Taking your ball and going home is a joke. Not the season.

I ain't taking my ball and going anywhere. I am just not going to waste any of my capspace on the remaining FAs but instead will focus on 2011s FA class and making trades to accomplish that goal

This has nothing to do with just my team not getting a big time FA it has to do with every team that created capspace not even having a chance. Extensions killed the game IMO.

Then extensions kill the league. Imagine how much more interesting it would be in real life if Kobe magically decided not to sign his extension, or if Duncan hadn't be reupped yet.

Better yet, imagine if every player signed one year contracts every year. Then your problems would be magically solved.

Dude, this is how the NBA works.

I know how the NBA works but this is mos def a different situation. Players don't get moved around every week in the NBA like they do in this game. It is a whole nother animal...

Then start your own GM a team game outlawing extensions. There's a lot different about this game, create a discussion for future games regarding contract processes. In the meantime, the way this game is constructed, there's NOTHING to be sore about.

It is called inconsistency. We did not have extensions in the 08/09 season and they magically appeared in 09/10.

and

I already told skorf if he would like to be a GM in the next game that I would be willing to take over as commish. If I do, I plan on doing as fair a job as possible but I realize it is not an easy task. IMO skorf did a great job for the most part and I hope I would be able to follow that example.

Doesn't mean I can't disagree with how things go from time to time just as I would expect GMs will have disagreements with the occasional decision I might make as commish.

Not sure what the first comment means. I'm just a little annoyed at the implications that Skorff screwed something up. He didn't.

As I said skorf did a fantastic job but doesn't mean I can't question a decision. Compared to other commishes he was exceptional. Nobody can be right all the time, I know I ain't, not even close. Hell I am probably wrong right now.

As for the 1st comment, what is so hard to figure out? We did not have extensions one season, the next we did. If we were going to do them they should have been done for both seasons or not at all.

To chime in, I'd like to say I think skorff has done a great job, and the competition from the beginning has run very smoothly. I'd agree with Cellar in sometimes that's the way the NBA goes sometimes, but agree with r0cd0gg in that extensions may have been rushed or some GM's had more leverage than they would have in real life, when it's moreso the player that would have all the leverage. Not complaining though, I was able to extend Amare. :)

What do you think is going to happen to all the teams in real life?

Bosh has already said he "loves Toronto and Toronto loves him", Lebron is going to stick with his hometown team that just won 60+ games, the Heat are looking like they are doing whatever they can to get people there to help Wade.

There is just going to be a bunch of unused capspace and over-paid 2nd tier stars come next season.

Skorff has done an excellent job.

Don't know what will happen with the big name Free Agents in Real LIfe but am eager to see. I do know that there will not be even 1/10 of the amount of trades as this Game will have.

^Who cares? That's the whole point of the game. To negotiate, have some fun, and build the team the way you want to. If this was like the real NBA the game would be ridiculously static.

I think the game has been run amazingly well by Skorf and he must be commanded for a job well done. Awesome job all around.

However, in regards to your above comment, within the context of this game, the free agency would have played out a lot differently than you think. Had Wade not been signed to an extension last summer, there was no chance in hell that he would have accepted a sign and trade to a poor Lakers team. That alone would have made things a lot more interesting. Although chances are that Wade, Amar'e and Bosh would have probably resigned with their current teams this offseason, the LeBron angle would have played out a lot differently than it did. Every GM including Miami, OKC and Indiana would have been chasing LeBron in a S&T and there would have been no way that they could have landed him using Amar'e, Bosh or wade as trade baits since these guys would have to agree to a S&t to a weak LAL. About your real life comment, why haven't these guys signed extensions this year then? These guys are still keeping their options open and thats how it should have been in the game. Put more pressure on the GM's and makes the FA season that much more tactical and strategic.

But I have no problems with Skorf's decision. I am sure he weighed in all the possible factors.

I think you missed my point and that point being that this game is not even remotely close to real life, nor should it be.
