SAS send:

GSW accepts and looks forward to adding David Lee to our young core. Parker-West-Beasley-Lee-Biedrins is not too bad. Tough to lose a potential top pick but bird in hand etc etc

Sorry I think I missed this one but trade approved

Wait, why are 2010 expirings being allowed to be traded?

In the NBA, the previous year's salaries are used for a period, but expirings can no longer be traded. Just like Cleveland can't do anything with Wally's contract anymore.

It just doens't make sense/isn't realistic at all to allow 2010 expirings to be traded.

Dahntay Jones - 1,080,000

The Cavaliers will send:
Pau Gasol - 16,452,000
Chris Duhon - 6,031,800
= $22,483,800

While we hate to lose Jeff Green and Nene, we're excited to add a player of Gasol's caliber to our team.

The Cavs accept. We had too many PGs and not enough wing depth. This deal helps in both areas. While we take a slight talent hit in the post, we offset that by getting younger and cheaper there, cutting about 6 million dollars and getting about 2 years younger. We also feel Nene will better complement KG

Trade approved, there was a veto request; but I'm going to allow this trade to go through.

We allowed expirings to be traded up until the draft in the 2009 offseason, so to be consistent we're allowing them to be traded up to the 2010 draft as well.

Atlanta decided to exercise the team option on Jason Williams and bring him back next season :P

To make things easier for you skorff

I will bring Jason Williams and Joel Anthony back and let Mikki Moore and Smush Parker go.

The New Orleans Hornets and Boston Celtics have agreed to a trade:

West

for

Blount
#8
2011 LAL 1st

The salaries match and NOH accepts. We were really high on West and felt that he was one of the best values and most underrated players in the game, but this allows us to clear a ton of salary and pick up two valuable picks. We traded out of the last draft but are high on the 2010 draft.

Celtics accept. We take on salary, but we still have enough cap room left to offer a max contract to you know who, and this helps to improve our team as well.

We also didn't really care for a high pick in this draft, as tbh, we really didn't know many of the players lol.

EDIT:

Salaries:

Blount - $7,967,375
West - $9,075,000

The Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards have agreed upon a deal:

Indiana sends Brandon Rush ($1,934,160), Luke Ridnour ($6,500,000), Morris Almond (825,497) and Josh Powell (825,497) and the 54th overall pick in 2010 draft in exchange for Hedo Turkoglu ($10,000,000) and Nick Young ($1,714,800).

Indiana Outgoing/Washington Incoming: $10,085,151 X 1.25 = $12,606,422
Indiana Incoming/Washington Outgoing: $11,714,800

Indiana accepts, we toyed with the idea of getting under the cap and being able to sign a higher end FA (ex: Ginobili), but with the travel, a deal in such a goal wasn't able to pan out. Here we lose Rush whom we greatly value, but pick up a similar end prospect in Nick Young to man down the SG spot of the future, and pick up one of the better wingman in the game, that has the option to expire now, or in 2011.

Washington accepts. I wasn't going to pick up Turk's TO, and not many people were giving me the value I wanted. I was high on Nick Young, but with Courtney Lee in front of him on the depth chart, he'd never get the minutes needed to develop. With Brandon Rush, I get a slighty more proven player (was able to showcase his talent more), who has the length to man the 3 spot. I may consider re-signing Ridnour, but this deal is honestly made for the upgrade from Young to Rush. I'm really excited about how good this kid can be, as we all saw towards the end of the season and his 19 starts (averaging 16 points, 5 boards off 47%/41%). Say hello to the future Washington Wizards:

JaVale McGee
Blake Griffin
Brandon Rush
Courtney Lee
Monta Ellis

I may shift things around to accomodate Monta Ellis at the 2, but I'm really excited at the prospect of seeing this team grow together.

I will make a decision no later than Monday night when I get home from work, thank you.
