Sorry for the inconvenience to the guys who picked after me, but I actually want Steve Kerr rather than Dell Curry.

After double and triple checking every source I have via AIM, PM, and email, no, you didn't.

Yeah, misread the last part of his post.

If someone wants to change their pick to Curry they can.

My presumption was that was for last night. I wasn't around tonight. My bad as well then.

Stacy Augmon. We went with the Plastic Man for one primary reason: perimeter defense. He was recognized as the NCAA's top defender for three consecutive years and he was no different in the NBA. Augmon enjoyed a pretty good offensive season in '95, going for 20+ on several occasions and averaging 13.9 ppg. While Stacy isn't the flashiest player or the highest scorer left on the board, he was the best fit for us and we love the smothering defense he brings to this squad.

Dell Curry.

He was a 6MOY last year, and is a lights out shooter. EJ and Majerle can handle both SG and SF minutes, allowing me to play Curry 6th man minutes.

Sam Perkins

James Worthy, his roommate at North Carolina and teammate in Los Angeles, calls Perkins "the ultimate team player." Derek Harper, who played with Perkins in Dallas, calls him, "probably the best role player in the NBA." Laker Coach Randy Pfund calls him "real subtle." Herb Crossman, a social worker formerly out of Brooklyn, knew Perkins as "Easy," and the Mavericks called him "The Silent Assassin."

"He's just so smart," Karl says. "I think in pro basketball, in the playoffs, you win as much with your brain and your heart as your talent. And he's a winner. His confidence and his strength comes from winning. Players who are driven by winning have an inner strength. It's a foundation that coaches always want to have around their teams."

"Sam might have been our best defensive player, and we lost him," Pfund said. "That had a lot to do with how we changed defensively."

He's a great team player, possess terrific hands, solid defensively, and most importantly an elite shooter from the PF/C position - 40% with nearly two makes.

SOBE takes another big; a young player who will have a couple of monster rebounding years in the next two and who has been great in limited minutes this year and last (though a bit of a thug) . . .
