He received lots of offers, and it could of gone one of two ways:

1) Money
2) Ring-chasing

When it comes to money, there was one clear leader, and that was the same for winning a ring. After much debating with a few guys, we decided that whilst money would be important for most, for T-Mac, he has phenomenal career earnings, and nothing left to prove, so he's opted to chase the ring...

no trade clauses are illegal in NBA, so I guess signing is void :D

My thinking was

Starting Lineup....

Lopez/Thomas/Iguodala/Martin/Nash

6th-Salmons/Tmac
7th-T-Mac/Hinrich
8th-Hinrich/Dampier
9th-Dampier/Bass

Well actually, I've done some research as I was certain they are legal... and they are, although not in this circumstance.

So I'll rephrase, T-Mac has signed for a one year vets minimum, and will refuse to move if he is traded.

A "no-trade" clause can be negotiated into an individual contract if the player has been in the NBA for at least eight seasons, and has played for the team with which he is signing for at least four seasons.

Thanks Mascot, I thought they were taken out in the last CBA and kobe's was grandfathered in. It is really meaningless in these games, but it is fun learning the rules. I thought they were tken out completly, I was not aware of the 8/4 rule allowing a "no trade"

Indiana is happy to welcome a former champion who also happens to be a very underrated player.

Well free agency is for the main part, now completed. There are still a handful of guys on page one who can be signed, if anyone needs extra depth. Fesenko has a couple of offers now which I will decide on later.

I will keep the initial post up-to-date if people waive any players - mail me at any time if you want to sign them to fill out your roster.

First off, that team is unbalanced as hell if your first 3 guys off the bench are all wings/a pg. Second of all, by the time Salmons gets his deserved minutes behind KMart and Iggy (Love that combo btw when healthy), there's not any minutes for TMAC.

Sorry about the delay on this one, haven't had chance to sort through my mails for a couple of days.

Phoenix Suns have signed Kyrylo Fesenko to an offers sheet - it is 4 year deal, worth $8.96m (yr 4 a team option). The contract starts at $2m and will raise in increments of $160k. Utah have 24 hours to match.

San Antonio Spurs have signed DJ Mbenga to a 2 year minimum contract.
