The New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to the following:

NYK will send:

Landry Fields [916,000]
Bill Walker [916,000]

Total: 1,832,000

Wolves will send:

Robin Lopez: 2,862,602

800k under cap so the deal works.

We needed a Center so it made sense. Good dealing!

PHX and MIL have a trade to announce:

PDX outgoing:
Brad Miller $4,752,000
Jason Maxiell $5,000,000
Kevin Love $4,609,701
2014 1st
total: $14,361,701

MIL outgoing:
Andrew Bogut $12,000,000
Drew Gooden $6,226,200
total: $18,226,200

We add a franchise center in Bogut. He is the 2nd best center in the league at a position that is hard to fill. This moevs Oden to bench giving us a Bogut/Oden, Boozer/Humphries, Williams/Ariza frontcourt. This trade balances out the roster and gives us flexibility moving forward. Nice dealing!

MIL approves.

We go a little younger with a highly valued Kevin Love and pick up a 1st rnd pick. Hard to see Bogut go, but it was getting difficult to make moves with this roster while keeping Bogut.

#55 - The Hornets and Bullets have agreed to a trade.

Hornets outgoing:

CP3: $16,359,805
Total salaries: $16,359,805

Hornets incoming:

John "That Boy" Wall: $5,530,080
Mehmet Okur: $10,890,000
Total salaries: $16,420,080

Wizards outgoing:

John "That Boy" Wall: $5,530,080
Mehmet Okur: $10,890,000
Total salaries: $16,420,080

Wizards incoming:

CP3: $16,359,805
Total salaries: $16,359,805

Hornets accept. It was VERY sad to say good-bye to the face of our franchise and community of New Orleans, in some respects, for the last seven years or so. But we feel we did what we needed to do for the future success of this organization in New Orleans. We thank CP3 for everything he has done for us--organization and city alike and we wish him well for the rest of his career and though we weren't able to fully help him achieve his goal of being an NBA champion in New Orleans, we do wish, from the bottom of out hearts that he can someday be known as an NBA champion and we look forward to the day that #3 is hanging high up in our rafters.

Now to the stud we're bringing in. Wall is MAGNIFICENT. He was just the guy we felt we needed to bring in to replace CP3. We believe his potential is out of this realm. We're talking best PG and one of the top 3 players in the NBA in the future. We think he'll be the best PG of this generation, outclassing CP3, D-Will and Rose.

Accept. Pretty risky deal for us..but we think cp3/thornton/deng/jefferson/mcgee can really contend. My core is good enough to convince cp3 to stay I think.

Trade #56

The Mavericks and the Jazz have a trade to announce:

Jazz receives:
Rodrigue Beaubois (1,236,720)
Eddie House (1,399,507)
= 2,636,227

Mavericks receive:
Anthony Randolph (2,911,231)

Utah accepts. With Anthony Randolph scheduled to be a RFA next year we decide to move Randolph now rather then letting him walk and get nothing in return next season. Beaubois is a pretty solid and intriguing prospect and we think could develop into a very solid player off our bench.

Dallas accepts this. I was sick of having to load up Roddy's profile, just to check the spelling of his last name.

Trade #57

The Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets have agreed to a mini-blockbuster.

The Clippers Receive:
C Timofey Mozgov ($3,343,896)
Rights to SF Jordan Hamilton

The Nuggets Receive:
C Chris Kaman ($12,200,000)
C Ben Wallace ($2,246,400)

The Nuggets are far enough under the cap to swallow the difference. This creates a TPE worth $14,446,400.

Clippers accept.

Like the Mo Williams deal, this more about ideal fits moreso than anything. We get a replacement center for a fourth of the price. And when you compare their per 36 minutes numbers, there really isn't a huge difference (Kaman - 17/10/2 vs. Mozgov - 11/8/1). I get a slightly worse rebounder, but who had a higher true shooting percentage and eFG%. You could make a legitimate argument I got an improvement. We also manage to acquire Jordan Hamilton in this deal as well. We believe he'll help us with three point shooting, and we believe he could turn into someone like Stephen Jackson without the baggage. But the real kicker is the savings the Clippers receive. The Clippers will NEVER have a 100 million payroll with Donald Sterling around.

P.S. If for some reason rocdogg won't allow Hamilton be dealt as rights, this deal works financially with him included with his contract. Only the TPE would be $13,524,000. Should work the other way though since Hamilton hasn't been dealt yet.

trade #58

Miami , Lakers, Wash have agreed on deal

Miami will send
Miller $5,400,000
Haslem $3,780,000
Barnes $1,906,200
2014 MIA 2nd
totals: $11,086,200

Miami will get
Morrow $4,000,000
Blake $4,000,000
2014 LAL 1st
Booker $1,294,920
Selvin Mack $473,604 (min so salary is not included)
totals: $9,294,920 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $11,718,650
----------------------
Lakers will send
Morrow $4,000,000
Blake $4,000,000
2014 LAL 1st
totals: $8,000,000 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $10,100,000

Lakers will get
Miller $5,400,000
Haslem $3,780,000
totals: 9,180,000
----------------------
Wash will send
Booker $1,294,920
Mack $473,604

Wash will get
Barnes $1,906,200
2014 MIA 2nd

Miami does this because for some reason I always need to trade for Morrow and since I have zero future picks avaialbe, I wanted one. Blake will want in and start at PG for us allowing LBJ to move back to SF. Since our FAs are not interested in staying in South Beach, we decided to dbring in our PG

Booker is an interesting project PF, that will fit a need at the moment

LAL accept. Blake was crap in LAL, and just didn't fit here. Miller is just an older Morrow, so not too big of a loss, and Haslem brings MUCH NEEDED front court depth.

Accept. We like Barnes a lot backing up Deng, and for now, Gibson/Barnes/Rush gives us terrific D and toughness coming off the bench.

The Nuggets accept. We are happy to get a Center like Chris Kaman. He and Wallace also fit into our plan to acquire expirings. Mozgov is a good, young player, as is Hamilton, but both were buried on my bench. Good dealing.

The 76ers are happy to announce the following blockbuster S&T trade of Thad Young.

Phi trades:

Young $8,750,000
Speights $2,721,255
Nocioni (exp) $6,650,000
Allen $473,604
2012 1st
2014 1st (lottery protected 2014, top 10 2015, top 6 2016, top 3 2017, unprotected 2018)

= 18,594,859

Chi trades:

Ibaka $1,288,200
Camby $12,866,332
Brewer $4,710,000
2014 2nd

= 18,864, 532

Why for Philly? We give a lot here for Ibaka, but he's the best player in the deal + on a very cheap deal. We lose the useless Nocioni for a spot up shooter with exp contract in Brewer + our new starting C with a big sexy exp in Camby. Losing Speights does not hurt, because he couldn't crack the rotation here. The picks will probably be in the 20 area, because we are a playoff team. Losing Thad hurts, but we felt like it is better to build around a real PF and not a tweener.

#60 - The Hornets and Rockets have agreed to a deal.

Hornets outgoing:

Joe Johnson: $19,752,645
Total salaries: $19,752,645

Hornets incoming:

Kevin Martin: $11,519,840
Amir Johnson: $5,500,000
Total salaries: $17,019,840*125%=$21,274,800

Rockets outgoing:

Kevin Martin: $11,519,840
Amir Johnson: $5,500,000
Total salaries: $17,019,840*125%=$21,274,800

Rockets incoming:

Joe Johnson: $19,752,645
Total salaries: $19,752,645

Hornets accept. Moving Joe Johnson was inevitable after trading CP3. It was "the backcourt that never was"..nevertheless, we get a good young prospect in Amir, who will definitely fit in nicely with our new direction as well as another more easlily movable piece in K-Mart v2.

Houston accepts. We needed a true #1 scoring option and Joe Johnson fits perfectly. Amir is a tough piece to lose but gaining Joe Johnson was just too hard to pass up.

*** i just want to edit the salaries. Joe Johnson is going to be making $18,038,573 in 2011/12. the salary listed is for 2012/13. it works just as well as we are under the cap with the release of Chuck Hayes cap hold, after his FA signing.

guys Thad is a BYC player so deal does not work, needs to be reworked slightly
Philly salary with Thad's BYC number 14,219,859 x 1.25 + 100,000 = 17,874,823

so small salary added from Philly side should get it to work

Chicago accepts. This is a great trade for me. Not only do I get a solid PF in Young, but I dump Brewer's contract, pick up a talented player in Speights, and get some first round picks. While it was hard giving up Ibaka, this deal was too good to pass up.

$19,349,990 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $24,287,487.5
