#112: CHA and NOH have a trade to announce:

TO CHA:
Channing Frye ($6,000,000)

TO NOH:
Spencer Hawes ($2,700,000)

CHA has the cap to absorb the extra 3.3M

CHA accepts. Not a huge change for us, but it makes sense. Frye is the better scorer and rebounder, something we can use up front. He provides more of a 6th man role than Hawes did. He also allows BB to be C full time, with Frye and Sacre backing him up.

NOH accepts. We do downgrade a bit, but we save 3.3M which is key because now we can sign more players to fill out our big 3. Hawes also is more of a true C, and will backup Dwight. He can also play some 4 and stretch the floor for us. Good dealing CHA

This received on veto, but it is approved.

Trade 115
Knicks and Rockets Announce Deal

In a move to balance their post draft rosters entering the Free Agent period, the New York Knicks have signed RFA Bil Walker to a 5 year - $ 23 Million deal starting at $ 4.75M. Upon approval from the commissioners office, they then notified the league that Walker would be moved to the Houston Rockets in Exchange for Power Forward Amir Johnson.

The salary - $ 4.75 x 125% + $ 100,000 ($ 6,300,000) just covers Johnson's $ 6,000,000 a yr deal so the Trade fits under the CBA.

NY needed to upgrade their backup PF spot and felt Amir brought the toughness while still having the offensive skills to work in the Knicks up tempo system and approve this trade.

HOUSTON's management confirmed this deal and felt that Walker's youth and shooting skills would lend themselves to the Rockets motion offense. His new found physical regime should help his knees and give him the added quickness to cover both the SF & SG positions in spot minutes. This will be a great opportunity to see if Walker can realize his potential and become a regular rotation player.

Approved.

Trade 118

Miami / Houston Finally Make Deal

After a prolonged negotiation involving a multitude of options, the Miami Heat have agreed to trade Lou Williams - PG/SG to Houston in exchange for Chase Buddinger and Marco Belinelli.

Rockets spokesman reported that the opportunity to get an elite scorer who was able to effectively take on the PG facilitators role when Harris was moved to Utah will be a great asset in both spots for the Rockets. He will be reunited with Harris which should make this an easy transition. Chase & Marco were both nice players in the Rockets rotation, but both were expected to be the 8th to 10 player role. Houston is delighted wiih this new acquisition.

Trade 119

Houston and Denver Make Major Moves

The Houston Rockets have agreed to move PG Stephen Curry, Amir Johnson, Bill Walker and Emeka Okafor to the Denver Nuggets for Andre Iguodala and Andrew Bogut.

Houston was initially reluctant to consider this deal as Curry and Okafor were expected to play key roles for the Rockets. However, the unexpected acquisition of Harris and Williams made the opportunity to acquire 2 elite All Star performers the right decision for the Rockets future. Houston wishes their former teammates well, but is very pleased to confirm this trade.

Curry ($3.958M), B Walker ($4.75M), A Johnson ($6M) and Okafor($9.18) = $23.888 for Bogut ($13.150) + Iggy ($13,531,750) = $ 26,681,750 so the salaries work.

Approved.

washington signed EG, if Minny matches EG can not be traded for 7 days as per the rules of the game.

a S&T can only be worked with Washington

If you resign your own player you can trade them immediately. Free agency was a mess last time tracking sign and trades, plus we're ending at the end of free agency...

Trade 118B
Houston & New York Announce Trade

The NY Knick have agreed to send Amir Johnson & Mouphtaou Yarou to Houston in Exchange for Brendan Haywood. This move strengthens the Knicks front court and gives Houston the Pieces needed to make a major deal.

Haywood - $8,349,500 for Amir $6M + Mouphtaou Yarou #25 $954,000 = $6.954 x 125% = $8.695M - works.

As Houston has a plan to move Amir, they are happy to get this move done to facilitate their long range plans and accept this deal.

NY obviously accepts this deal that brings another strong post presence who will bring a defensive effort to the Knicks and yet has the Offensive skills that will allow the A'Antoni system to flow.
NY confirms this deal.

Approved.

Trade 123:

ATL, Mem and PHx have a blockbuster trade to announce:

Mem trades:

OJ Mayo $9,000,000

Shane Battier $4,800,000

Tony Allen $3,300,000

Darrell Arthur $3,006,217

Xavier Henry $2,323,200

Greivis Vasquez $1,191,240

= $23,620,657

Mem gets:

Joe Johnson $19,752,645

JR Smith $6,000,000

= $25,752,645

23,620,657/100 * 125 = 29,525,821 > 25,752,645

Phx ($14,207,619 capspace) trades:

-

Phx gets:

Shane Battier $4,800,000

Darrell Arthur $3,006,217

Greivis Vasquez $1,191,240

Xavier Henry $2,323,200

= $11,320,657

ATL trades:

Joe Johnson $19,752,645

JR Smith $6,000,000

= $25,752,645

ATL gets:

OJ Mayo $9,000,000

Tony Allen $3,300,000

= $12,300,000

Deal works because Phx has the capspace as listed.

Why for ATL? After the big signings of Wallace and Felton we were way over the hard cap. With this deal we lose JJ, but he is a very bad contract and will get even more money in the future. Allen is better than JR and Mayo is a nice fit next to Felton and Wallace. This also allows us to sign somebody in FA.

Approved.

Trade 124
LA CLIPPERS AND HOUSTON ROCKETS REACH AGREEMENT

The Los Angeles Clippers announced that they have send PG Rajon Rondo, rookie SF Jeff Taylor and Center DeAndre Jordan to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Devin Harris, Andrew Bogut, CJ Miles and Markief Morris.

The full terms were not disclosed, but in the deal the Clippers take on salaries of $ 28.423M while sending $ 21, 035 to the Rockets. This will create a $ 7,388,000 TPE for the Rockets, but the Clippers can absorb the additional salary under the CBA since they are currently just over $ 47M.

The Rockets schzophrenic off season continues, but they gladly accept this deal which they have worked on for some time. The opportunity to sign Rajon Rondo, who we feel to be the best young PG in the league - with Championship pedigree - is what made this deal acceptable. There is no quesiton that Clippers have gotten great value in Harris, Bogut, Miles and the potential of Morris - who can play with Griffin. While they add needed depth to an outstanding front line in this move and the Rocket will miss those players, the defensive presence and potential that Jordan offers along with the proven leadership of Rondo and upside of Jeff Taylor made this a win win deal in Houstons opinion.
Houston would like to thank the management of the Los Angeles Clippers for putting together a great deal and acting decisively in pulling the string!

Trade 125

The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat have come to an agreement for a trade. The Pacers will send Roy Hibbert to the Miami Heat for Samuel Dalembert and Ryan Anderson.

Hibbert 12 million

for
Ryan Anderson $5 million
Samuel Dalembert $5 million

Salaries needed to be between 9.6 million and 15 million for the deal to work and at 10 million it barely squeezes in. The Pacers are happy with this deal. We needed to rid ourselves of Roy Hibbert because the moronic contract we were forced to match pissed us off so much that it was ruining the game for me because my generous cap room evaporated overnight. This deal gives us a veteran center to hold down the fort until the guy I drafted in the first round is ready. Plus we also get Ryan Anderson, a player we have had interest in acquiring for quite some time.

Trade # 127

BLOCKBUSTER

MIA sends:
Steve Nash ($6,000,000)
Eric Gordon ($13,000,000)
Roy Hibbert ($12,000,000)

Total: $31,000,000

DEN sends:
Chris Paul ($16,000,000)
Jason Richardson ($7,200,000)
Kenyon Martin ($4,000,000)

Total: $27,200,000

$27,200,000*1.25= $34,000,000 > $31,000,000 so money works.

This is a hefty price for a VERY hefty player. Chris Paul, I had you once, I regret ever trading you away, but welcome home again. You, LBJ, Jsmoove will be the core for this team for the dynasty we're about to build. Jrich is one of the best clutch 3pt shooters in the league. He's also a solid defender and Kenyon will provide great energy. He's known for injuries, but since it's not a problem in this game, I gladly take him as Josh Smith's backup. Kenyon is a hustler and provides underrated defense in the post!! Good dealing, DEN.
