Do you consider Ray Allen as a sufficient backup point guard? In 2001 he had 6 assists per night in the playoffs

I wouldn’t personally use him that way- he was a decent shot creator for himself but he never ran an offense.

Lowry
Oladipo
Russell
Rodman
Davis

Bench
Miller

What was looking like my worst draft is turning out the best lmao. I legit haven't got a problem defensively on anyone. Switch or man defence. Sick having Oli/Russ/Rodman for outside and Rodman/Davis for inside

Why is Reggie on the bench though?

Super 6th man that's why. Plus the starting 5 is more balanced on O and D. All in their prime

Personally I would start Reggie to give a little more offensive punch and put Russell on the bench.

Thing is I don't know how the AI works. Don't think it takes into consideration positional value and evaulated it on a 1 to 1 basis and obviously we know thats not how basketball is played. My offense is fine imho with Lowry 22ppg, Oladipo 23 and Davis 28

3.2/7.8 41.2%
2.15/5.8 37.1%
1.35/3.3 40.9%
0.7/2.2 32%
0.4/1.2 31.7%

These are the 3 balls too btw 7.8/20.3 38.4% on the 5.

UP LR

And you gotta start Reggie. He’s a ceiling raiser with tons of off-ball value and is your second best player.

Dipo can do the super 6th man too- I’d argue he’s more suitable.

Just out of curiosity, what was the reasoning behind Reggie over CP3? I’m a big Reggie fan- I had him under consideration for both of my picks, I’m just curious.

I picked Lowry because he has amazing splits especially for 3 pointers in 2017 (7.8 attempts at 41.2%) for the main PG over CP3. And Reggie for split SG/SF time between Russell/Rodman/Reggie for SF rotation. My reasoning is the first two will match with any perimeter player

I still keep the 20 3's at above 38%. Thing is AI legit judged the teams 1 vs 1. So I'd rather have a two way player just in case. (not that it might work coz it said Stockton was mid on defence and liked Kleber on D figure that out? Lol). But yeah it all depends on how it's judged because better AI will have more accurate stuff but AI comes up with wild stuff all the time

Hence why I tried to cover my bases. God forbid the AI doesn't rate CP3 on defence as highly or marks down shooting/score creation so with Reggie I didn't want to take that chance defensively. I do think the backcourt is better with Lowry/Oli

But who knows I guess I might start Miller at SF we'll see.

D Will
Clyde
Christie/Korver depending on matchup?
Sheed
Biid

Seems like a really good foundation. Lots of shooting in the frontcourt without sacrificing anything on defense. Got some ideas for filling out the rest of the bench, but I'm sure you guys will throw wrenches in those plans

FYI we’re only using AI if the matchup is stuck.

I had Miller ahead of CP on my list because I was confident I could get a point guard who fit well with Barkley in round 3.

If I was assured CP would be paired with an elite roll man like Malone or AD I might have felt differently though.

Ohhhh got ya, still like the Lowry pick

I have the rotations at this roughly:

PG: Lowry (38) Oladipo (10)
SG: Oladipo (28), Miller (20)
SF: Miller (if I want to start 12), Russell 28, Rodman 8
PF: Rodman 30, Davis 10, 8*
C: Davis 28, 20*

How does that look?
