BOS trades:

Jerryd Bayless $2,292,600
CHA’s 2011 1st round pick (if in top 10)

BOS receives:

Jason Richardson $14,444,443

- Works for Celtics because $14,444,443 - $2,292,600 = $12,151,843, and the Celtics have $12,188,961 in cap space (pending approval of the BOS-SAS trade), which is just slightly more than the difference in salaries.

HOU trades:

Jason Richardson $14,444,443

HOU receives:

Goran Dragic $1,972,000
LAL’s 2011 1st round pick

- Works for Rockets because they’re sending out more salary than they’re receiving.

NOH trades:

Goran Dragic $1,972,000
LAL’s 2011 1st round pick

NOH receives:

Jerryd Bayless $2,292,600
CHA’s 2011 1st round pick (if in top 10)

- Works for Hornets because $1,972,000 X 1.25 + 100,000 = $2,565,000, which is more than Bayless’ salary. (The Hornets also have enough cap room anyway.)

The Celtics accept. We’re excited to bring in a stud SG in Richardson whose contract expires next offseason. We like Bayless’ potential, but we’re trying to win now, so he doesn’t help with that too much.

$17,522,375 + $11,600,000 + $2,000,000 + $1,959,577 = $33,081,952

Orlando has more than enough capspace to make this work.

We are extremely sad to see Dwight go but we made him a promise that fell through so we will send him to a better situation. We feel he deserves to be on a winning team and we can not provide that at this time. We already have what could be the next Dwight(Favors) on a cheaper contract so we will move him to center. We like the defense/offense and excitement that Josh Smith will bring at a reasonable pricetag. Vince Carter fills the scoring void we have as well as the SF void. We feel he will be good for the one year we have him and then expire in 2011 leaving us as a major player in that overlooked FA class. The competition should be more conduscive for us at that time. We also get to shed Nate's contract for the smaller deal of Jarret Jack as well as adding a nice young defensive SG in Afflalo. The 2013 1st will also come in handy as we traded away most of our picks in the attempt to land LeBron.

Orlando accepts

Edit - This deal is contigent upon the LeBron to Miami deal not being overturned.

We also feel this deal fit what we were looking for as posted in the discussion thread when I 1st made Dwight available.

NOH Agrees. We liked Bayless quite a bit as a combo guard behind Roy, but we're happy to add Wafer as a capable back up and the 2012 pick was enough incentive to convince us to part with Bayless. We were hoping to bring Vazquez over as a backup 4/5 within the next year or two, but trading his rights seemed to balance out this trade and make it palatable for both sides.

San Antonio will send

Tayshaun Prince - 11,147,760

Deal works. We're excited to add a player of Tayshaun Prince's caliber to our team. While we still believe Bayless is a star, Prince is better for us in the short term.

The Clippers accept this deal. Since we're in a full-on rebuilding mode, we pick up another valuable first round pick in next year's draft and since both guys are young, they may be able to help us out.

what a bad day for Mike, he gets waived by his NBA team and his RealGm team on the same day! At least this game is a year later.

The Orlando Magic and Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to the following:

Orlando will send:

Vince Carter: $17,522,375
Stromile Swift: 1,200,000

Total: 18,722,375

for

Richard Jefferson - 15,200,000
Chris Wilcox - 2,080,000
2013 1st round pick
Total: 17,280,000 x 1.25 = 21,600,000 > 18,722,375

We've wanted Vince for a while now and we're glad to have him. We'll use him as our 6th man to help out our thin second unit.

Orlando accepts...

We don't really care who our expiring SF is so we get some better frontcourt depth and another pick to boot by swapping SFs.

Dallas and Miami have a trade to announce

Dallas Out/Miami In: Ray Allen Sign and Trade 9,000,000 and Beno Udrih 6,478,600 = 15,478,600

Miami Out/Dallas In: TJ Ford 8,500,000 and Reggie Evans 5,080,000 = 13,580,000 x 1.25 = 16,975,000>15,478,600; trade works

Dallas accepts
Why for Dallas? I get rid of Beno's ugly contract. TJ Ford is now on the block as well.

Why for Ray Allen? He goes to one of the better teams in the league and I think 9 million was the most (or very close to the most) money that he was offered.

Miami accepts. Adding a veteran shooter in Ray Allen will only improve our team. Taking on Beno is tough, but as a backup he should be more than productive. Stephen Jackson is now on the block.

Charlotte and Dallas have a trade to announce
Charlotte Out/Dallas In: Najera 3,000,000 and Martin 16,545,454 = 19,545,454
Dallas Out/Charlotte In: Odom 6,315,840; Vujacic 5,475,113; and Diop 6,478,600 = 18,269,553 x 1.25 = 22.8 million (deal works)

Dallas accepts, we get out of Diop's contract, we lose Odom's very affordable deal but feel that in the long run this will help our teams rebuilding process.

The Bobcats accept. Odom is worth 10 million a season, so it makes it a little easier to swallow diops deal.

Cleveland and Dallas have come to terms on a 5-player deal:

Dallas trades:
Erick Dampier - 13,078,000
Matt Carroll - 4,300,000
Total - 17,778,000

Cleveland trades:
Jason Kapono - 6,641,440
DeShawn Stevenson - 4,151,786
Jared Jeffries - 6,883,800
Total - 17,677,026

Cleveland accepts. While we did have to acquire Carrolls long contract to do so, the Cavaliers are pleased to be able to acquire a contract like Dampier's that is fully unguaranteed. We are also able to consolidate talent in this deal, basically trading three perimeter players for one.

Upon league approval of this deal, the Cleveland Cavaliers immediately waive Erick Dampier and his unguaranteed contract.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers have agreed on a deal:

Indiana trades:
Hilton Armstrong - 3,854,449

Cleveland trades:
Antonio McDyess - 4,124,520

Cleveland accepts. We save a small chunk of cash and acquire a player in a position of need while also getting younger.
