I'll re-pick Perkins I guess. My clock showed 3:00 on the dot, but RGM disagreed, lol.

A word on the Mahmoud Abdul Rauf pick:
We needed to complete our guard rotation and pick up our last essential rotation player. We may give minutes to our last two guys, it just depends on who is there and how they fit.
We liked Abdul Rauf because he can come in and spell Barros at PG while filling a very similar role or he can log minutes at SG next to Barros as a deadly scoring duo. Mahmoud (aka Chris Jackson) had a lightning quick release, was automatic at the line, had great range, fantastic handles and moves, plus an underrated passing game as a scorer. He's instant offense off of our bench and a tough cover for anybody. He even torched Gary Payton for 23.8 on .534/.556/.875 during their four matches in this season. Simply put, when he was on, he was very on.

On the Bobby Phills selection.
I wanted a defensive wing and Bobby fits the bill.

11ppg, 3.3 reb, 2.3 asst, 1.4 steals, .414 FG%, .345 3pt%
Bobby was just coming into his own as a defensive player. And looking into his bio, I found this
“He steadily worked his way into the rotation in Cleveland, and by the 1993-94 season he was a regular starter. Two years later he was well-known as a defensive stopper -- Micheal Jordan once listed Phills as one of the five best defensive players he ever faced -- while averaging 14.6ppg and shooting 44.1% from deep.”
What more is needed to be said, if Mike thought he was good, that works for me!

Sam Cassell.
15/8 per 36 minutes with a TS% of 55%, 11 ppg as a backup in the 1995 playoffs. Before becoming an all star pg he was the absolute textbook example of a championship caliber role player.

Re: 1995 Draft thread free for all round 9, 6pm EST sunday
a little about my pick

Gheorghe Muresan
Position: Center
Height: 7-7 Weight: 303 lbs.
10 ppg, 56% FG%, 71% FT%, 6.7 reb, 1.7 blk
My Giant will be a nice addition to my bench. I was looking for a BIG backup C that could block some shots and Gheorghe is as big as they come. This was a season before his breakout 96 season, but I like the efficency , shot blocking and SIZE he offers us.

What I'm realizing is that 6 is a bad draft time for me. I'll leave a list for the remaining rounds.
