Detroit needed to strengthen their front court having moved Anderson Varejao and Channing Frye Brings a complimentary skill set with the low post presence of Amir Johnson and Brandon Bass. His ability to operate from the high post will allow the Pistons Back court to penetrate and dish to the outstanding shooters.

Denver trades the rights to Perry Jones and the contracts of Chase Budinger, Marshon Brooks, and Jose Calderon to Cleveland in exchange for the rights to James McAdoo and the contracts of Steve Blake and Dequan Cook.

We do this to upgrade our SF position with a potential superstar while keeping a shooter next to Turner. Dequan Cook will be a very good player coming off the bench behind Turner. This gives us 4 potential superstar players in Lawson, Turner, McAdoo, and Sullinger.

we do this deal to get young talent and expirings.. Perry Jones has all the physical tools, the off court demeanor to be a superstar. Humble, hardworking, and selfless. We believe a young core of Irving, Jones and Valanciunas. Irving is a great blend of Billups and Paul with his vision and savvy. Valanciunas is a quick, agile, mobie, high motor C in the mold of Dwight Howard, only less athletically gifted, but with more skill(compared to DHo when he entered). Perry Jones has been compared to Kevin Garnett. We are ecstatic to all have them.. We also get Brooks, who is a BEAST athletically (with a 7'1" wingspan) and Budinger, who has proven that he can start in this league
