The Philly 76ers and Utah Jazz have agreed a trade.

Philadelphia Trade

Andres Nocioni - $6,650,000
Kenneth Faried - $1,078,000
2012 1st

Utah Trade

Paul Millsap - $8,103,435

Why for Philly? Unable to find a superstar, I've gone for strengthening the roster - Paul Millsap is a great compliment to Varejao in the front court, has shown massive improvements in his game, shooting an efficient (53%/39%) 17.3 points per game last year including a stunning 46 points vs Miami.

we lose a solid pro but we are rebuilding and have great success finding players in the draft. Plus
Favors is ready to produce.

MIA sends:

James Jones (S&T 5,000,000 for 2 years (total 10,000,000) TO on 2nd yr)
David West (4,600,000)
Marcus Morris( $1,566,900)
NJ 2012 Pick

Total: $11,166,900
UTA sends:
Al Jefferson (14,000,000)

Total: 14,000,000

$11,166,900*1.25+100000 = $14,058,625 > 14,000,000 so money works!

We are building our front court very nicely, composed of KG, Al, and Gortat. Al is an elite center in the league...top 5 C and we love adding him to our team (and we think Utah will profit nicely from the young pieces provided and a vet) Good dealing Utah!

60

Kings and Jazz have agreed to a trade.

Kings Send
Ramon Sessions - $4,257,973
Jeff Foster - $2,000,000
Brockman - $1,000,000
Knicks First

Jazz Send
Devin Harris - $9,319,000

(As a result Kings are over the cap by one million and change thus we amnesty cut Garcia)

Why? I hate loosing depth at the big position but I felt I just had to take the chance to upgrade my PG position. Good dealing.

The Cavs and Suns have agreed to a trade.

Cavs out:
Ryan Hollins $2483333
Joey Graham $1106941
= $3590274 x 1.25 = $4487842

Suns out:
Chuck Hayes $4000000

The Cavaliers do this trade because it is a clear upgrade for us. We like Chuck Hayes, especially at this price.

Phoenix accepts: We won't win something this year so we are preparing for the upcoming free agency.

Trade #60 between Sac and Utah we hate to lose a young pg but Sessions is serviceable and we have more financial flex to rebuild good deal. Brockman and Foster are hard nosed big men who will fit our style of play. Plus another first in a good draft year.

#62: CLE and NOH have a trade to announce:

TO CLE:
Jarrett Jack ($5,000,000)

TO NOH:
Beno Udrih ($6,925,400)

The difference is nearly 2M, and NOH (me) is nearly 23M under the cap, and can absorb the difference.

NOH accepts. We do take on some salary, but both are overpaid. Udrih is an extremely efficient PG and his FG% was .500% last year, .493% the year before, 3PT was .357% and .377% the year before, and TS% last year was .587% and the year before was .566%. This is the type of player that I want at the point of my offense.

Confirmed. Wanted a little more value for beno, but we'll settle for Jack. We felt like Jarrett is simply a better fit to backup Kyrie than Udrih was. He can take Kyrie under his wing and show him the ropes while not pressuring him too much for the starting gig like Udrih would have. Plus we save a little cash. Nice dealing, Kees.

DEN and NYK have a trade to announce.

DEN outgoing:
Josh Smith $12,500,000
Wilson Chandler $7,000,000
total: $ 19,500,000

NYK outgoing:
Carmelo Anthony - $18,518,574
Iman Shumpert - $1,343,300
total: $19,861,874

We bring Melo back to Denver, we get a 2nd (or 3rd) franchise player and a closer to finish off games. 26/7/3 on 46% and improving D. Iman is a nice defensive minded prospect that will backup Westbrook.

The Amare / Melo Experiment has ended. The Knicks could not be happier confirming this trade in that we acquire one of the elite athletes in the NBA who has matured and is ready to become a perenneal all star. Amare will guard the post and Josh will bring the help Defense AND shut down the other teams PF. We also welcome Wilson Chandler home who will again thrive in Mike D'Antoni's offense at his natural SF position, but will enhance Mike Brown's defensive scheme. In the words or Charlie Sheen - Winning! This trade was a Win Win for both teams and NY can only wish Melo & Iman the best - Sorry LaLa!

Trade 64

NJ and Phoenix have agreed on a deal

Rajon Rondo ($10,045,455)
Damion James ($1,243,080)
Marshon Brooks ($895,700)
Miami 2012 2nd
NJ 2013 1st

total = $12,184,325

for

Chris Paul ($16,359,804)
Mike Miller ($5,400,000)
Channing Frye ($5,600,000)

total = $27,359,804

Salaries work, as NJ has over $17,000,000 in cap space to absorb the difference.

Nets do this to acquire the superstar point guard they've been searching for since, well, a few months ago. We had to take on a lot of salary and give up some young talent and picks, but a Paul/Gallinari/Aldridge trio is one we really like.

Phoenix accepts. This is by far the best trade nvolving Paul. We dump $15(!) million and add a young PG to build around, two nice young prospects and a future first round pick.

Trade #65:

Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics have reached the agreement:

Orlando sends:

Hakim Warrick ($4,250,000)
Luke Ridnour ($3,680,000)
Anthony Randolph ($2,911,231)

Total: $10,841,231

Boston sends:

Jeff Green (sign and trade)* $6,000,000
Jordan Farmar $4,000,000
2012 BOS 2nd rounder

Total: $10,000,000

10,000,000 * 1,25 + 100k = 12,600,000

12,600,000 > 10,841,231. Deal works

We do it, because we like Jeff Green, he's pretty young, but good already. We lose 2 good guys in Ridnour and Warrick, but they didn't have any space on our roster. biggest hit is taken by losing Anthony Randolph, but, you have to lose something if you want to get something.

*Jeff Green's sign and trade details: 4 years, $25,750,000

$6,000,000
$6,250,000
$6,500,000
$7,000,000

Trade 66
Rockets & Hawks Agree to Deal
Houston has moved PG Raymond Felton and Center Daniel Orton to the Atlanta Hawks for Jeff Teague and Zaza Pachulia and Atlanta's 2012 2nd round draft pick.

Felton ($7.5M exp) + Speights $2.721M = $10.521 salaries out for Houston; Teague $1.572 + Zaza $4.75M + Amundson $2.403M = $8.726 x 1.25 = 10.907 so the salaries work.

Houston is pleased to have the young Jeff Teague who offers a change of pace with Nelson (too much like Felton) and can play big ball (or at the SG in some situations). Zaza is another young Center prospect with enough experience and Amundson can be a banger at the PF/C positions against teams like the Lakers. Speights was not going to get playing time and was too good not to have an opportunity to complete which he can in Atlanta.

#67: ORL and NOH have a trade to announce:

TO ORL:
Andre Miller ($7,807,728)
Marcus Thornton ($4,000,000)
2012 HOU 1st (Unprotected)

Total: 11,807,728

TO NOH:
Aaron Brooks ($4,000,000)
Aaron Afflalo ($6,000,000)

Total: 10,000,000 * 1.25 + 100,000 = 12,600,000

Deal Works

NOH accepts. We finally found our starting PG. Brooks has proved he can do it all, score, pass, ball handle, hit the three, and we love him as our starter. Afflalo brings a great role player who plays great D, and can do everything I want him to. It's tough to lose Thornton and the HOU pick, but I'd much rather have a solid PG and SG combo than a question on where the pick will land.

Orlando accepts. Marcus Thornton is a young guy, who proved, that he can play well, while he was in Sacramento. Also, he's locked into a very nice contract. I also like the pick and the expiring veteran.
