The Rockets and Bulls have agreed upon a deal.

Rockets Receive
Delonte West (854,389 min salary cap hit)
Chicago '14 1st (top 8 prot 3 years then turns into future considerations such as deep dish pizza and more importantly half acre ale)

Total: $854,389

Bulls Receive
NYK '12 1st (top 20 protected then turns into 3 2nds or something wierd)

Total: $0

Deal doesn't work yet... Houston is okay with roster spots (14) but this would put Chicago below 12. Chicago will confirm roster move to make it work, whether its inclusion in this of a player, trade elsewhere, or signing abroad.

Chicago accepts. Prior to this deal are two deals that give us about 14 players so we're within roster limits and the deal works. Thanks for helping out Hart.

#64: Hawks and Nuggets

Hawks Outgoing/Nuggets Incoming: Malcolm Lee ($500,000)
Nuggets Outgoing/Hawks Incoming: Julyan Stone ($473,604), 2014 DEN 2nd, $1.5 million cash

Salaries obviously work.

The Nuggets are very high on the prospects of Malcolm Lee. We feel he has a bright future in this league as a lockdown defender at the combo guard position. Future seconds and cash mean very little in this game, so it was an opportunity to get a good prospect on the cheap.

Chicago and New York have a trade to announce:

New York receives:
Anthony Parker - $2,250,000
John Lucas III - $915,852
Total - $3,165,852

Chicago receives:
Mike Bibby - $854,389
Bill Walker - $885,120
Josh Harrellson - $473,604
Total - $2,213,113 ($2,213,113 * 1.5 + $100,000 = $3,419,670)

Chicago accepts. New York was trying to acquire Parker before we did, so as a bonus we get the former Kentucky big. nice deal.

NY accepts, we lose 3 Knicks and gain some non Knicks, me likey

Seriously Harrellson was showing some great promise before his injury but we liked that Lucas can offer highlight material weather it is for our team or against our team. Nice tealing man

Chicago and New York have another deal to announce:

New York receives:
Omer Asik - $1,857,500

Chicago receives:
Renaldo Balkman - $1,675,000

salaries are close enough. ** as part of this deal, NY agrees to send $2,000,000 cash to Chicago, and completely lifts the protection for it's 2012 1st (which Chicago acquired from Houston in an earlier trade).

Chicago accepts. Nice deal again SamBone!

Houston might not be able to keep up on all the trades and roster counts  but in case it wasn't clear we accept.

TRADE #66

Cleveland Cavaliers receive:
SG Jordan Crawford ($1,120,440)

Washington Wizards receive:
SF Omri Casspi ($1,341,960)

Cavs accept. Casspi is a nice reserve player, but Crawford is a better fit. Salaries work.

Wizards accept. We liked J-Craw, but we love the potential that comes with Casspi. This trade should put us over the top as the best team in the NBA.

$2mil in CASH

NY accepts, we like Asik alot, we see a young Gortat in his game. He is an ideal reserve on our squad

Washington D.C. and Minnesota have a trade to announce.

Wizards outgoing:
Ronny Turiaf - $4,360,000
Nick Young - $3,695,857
JaVale McGee - $2,462,400
Chris Singleton - $1,485,000
Total = $12,003,257 x1.5 = $18,004,885

Timberwolves outgoing:
Joakim Noah - $12,000,000
Reggie Williams - $2,500,000
D.J. White - $2,001,167
Jeremy Evans - $762,195
Total = $17,263,362

The Bucks are under the luxury tax threshold, allowing us to absorb the incoming salary via the x1.5 rule.

We do this trade to bring in Noah, who we feel is a much better fit with our team than McGee. Joakim brings great talent, experience, toughness, leadership and most importantly a winning attitude. We knew we were going to have to pay up for McGee and Young this off-season, so we made the decision to get some value for them. Williams, White and Evans are all young guys we are fond of. Good dealing, moss.

Minny accepts. Noah is a quality center but we like the athleticism that McGee can bring. He will be catching lobs and covering up some of Love's defensive issues. He averages nearly 3 blocks per game. Even though he's not the brightest guy, Rubio and Love are both very high IQ guys who should help him along the way. We also like Young as a 6th man / starter and Singleton's defensive potential.

After hours and hours and hours:

#68: CHARLOTTE AND CHICAGO

Charlotte Bobcats send:
$7,000,000 - Marcus Thornton
$3,900,000 - Matt Carroll
$0,855,120 - Sean Williams
$0,854,389 - Yi Jianlian

Chicago Bulls send:
$9,000,000 - Boris Diaw
$3,400,000 - C.J. Watson
$0,473,604 - Josh Harrellson
NYK 2012 Unprotected 1st
$1,000,000 in Cash

$12,609,509 - Charlotte outgoing
$12,873,604 - Chicago outgoing

Deal works. Chicago has been very persistent in trying to acquire Thornton.
For me this deal does:
1) more cap space for the off-season.
2) gets a decent backup combo guard in Watson.
3) gets a very young productive backup big in Harrellson .
4) nets another 1st round pick (will probably be late though).
5) the cash guarantees the buyout of my franchise player DeSagana Diop.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

TRADE #69

NY and MIA again make a trade

Miami trades
DeAndrea Jordan $10,000,000
U.Haslem $3,780,000
2012 MIA 1st
2013 MIA 1st
$3mil in CASH
totals: $13,780,000

NY trades
T.Chandler $13,107,838
M.Thompson $ 473,604
totals: $13,581,442

NY accepts, We prefer the younger DeAndrea and his contract, we think by the end of the year DJ will actually have better numbers. He is a BLOCK machine and is finding his way on offense and the glass. Tyson's up and down career was something I was not sold on. DJ is a guy I like alot. The picks and CASH plus HAslem's toughness and ability to rebound and defend off the bench was enough to do this.

Tough negotations, but I think we both are happy!

Chicago accepts. actually the hours and hour just minutes spread out over hours and hours. and kudos to Royal for getting the numbers that close on the first offer. Good deal for Chicago because we now have a solid starting SG who can score and handle the ball. We're very happy to have made this deal. Nice trading Royal.

Toronto out / Minnesota in:
Amir Johnson - $5,500,000

Minnesota out / Toronto in:
Mario Chalmers - $4,000,000

Minnesota is under the luxury tax, so can take in 4M * 1.5 = $6M, so deal works

Toronto accepts; positional need.

Minnesota accepts. Amir gives us a defensive 4 /5 who's young and a good athlete. Had a crowded pg rotation, real quick deal with stern.

CLEV pointed out that the 2013 MIA 1st is owed to CLEV in RL with protection,

So the pick I am getting is the 2013 MIAMI 1st (if it is 1-10, or unpprotected in 2013). With this pick traded, and the RL picks owed to CLEV, Miami has no picks that are tradable (well technically he can trade the 2014 1st it it is 1-10

The Pistons and Nuggets have agreed upon a trade.

Nuggets Receive
Brandon Knight ($2,563,320)
Bismack Biyombo ($2,798,040)

Total: $5,361,360

Pistons Receive
Ty Lawson ($1,654,440)
Timefoy Mozgov ($3,343,896)

Total: $4,998,336

Deal Works.

The Pistons accept, hate to lose Biyombo, whose potential we REALLY liked next to Monroe, but like Lawson in our backcourt moving forward.

Its really quite simple, we traded two guys who are a little better now for two guys who should be a lot better in the future.
