Re-posting Denver / Golden State trade with Biedrins BYC status - sorry we missed this the first time.

Golden State out / Denver in
Andris Biedrins 9.00M BYC
Stephen Jackson 7.14M
Al Harrington 9.22M
2009 GS 1st round pick (Top 3 protected, unprotected 2010)
Total Salaries 25.36M / counts as 20.86M out

Denver out / Golden State in
Carmelo Anthony 14.41M
Nene 9.68M
Total Salaries 24.09M

Denver's trade: (24.09 * 1.25) + .1 = 30.21 > 25.36
Golden State's trade: (20.86 * 1.25) + .1 = 26.18 > 24.09

I accept, while it is a pain to gut a franchise PF and a first round pick for two 1-year rentals, the Hornets are serious about contending so they are gutting their depth and wing potency for these players. Good luck in Miami, David West.

Not completely random.

In one the Heat give up Chalmers (who Heat fans are dead set against giving up), A first rounder (Which ignores the fact that at this point that it's still tied up in the Minnesota deal), A second rounder and Shawn Marion for David West (who the Heat wouldn't need if you hadn't gutted our PF position.) and other parts ( I won't say crap, but I really want the Heat to have as little to do with Mike James as humanly possible) that doesn't get this trade any where near being even. Any one who says Marion has low value because he is expiring is just looking for an excuse to devalue some other team's players.

No freaking way this happens, it's just too ugly.

In the other trade the Heat get to give up Beasely without even seeing him play in an actual NBA game all for older pieces plus a second round prospect and one reserve PF. The only person I'd be interested in here is Chauncey Billups but it sure as heck wouldn't be for Beasely. You can keep your 34 (35 this year) year old 'Sheed. (I won't even point out how I could also use the fact that he is also expiring and isn't a sure bet to resign because that would be hypocritical of me.)

All of that turnover insures that the Heat are going to suck at least until the team jells and that could take a while. You don't just throw people together and expect them to be a team and with the fact that some players that you are trying to deal the Heat are being called complacent by their own fans and that won't happen if the trade doesn't fire them up.

Leave it to the Knicks fan to start calling people names.

I really did go through the rest of this thread looking for a Wade for utter crap (at least in comparison) offer too. I was surprised not to see it.

if you're interested in participating please leave me your email and i'll let you know when there is an opening. otherwise, no need for your comments.

anyone else please don't respond. it'll clutter up this important thread and without a moderator participating it wouldn't be easy to clean up.

You're (Please Use More Appropriate Word) (darkstar that is)...first off you claim that you search the whole thread to find a Wade trade, yet don't happen to see that the West deal in the first place didn't even go through (twice that, too)...I mean if someone can't read and goes around spouting some crap when they clearly have no knowledge of what's happening speaks volumes in itself.

And it's funny how you just brush Sheed off as an old man. Who has been the defensive anchor for the powerhouse Pistons nearly every year? He's one of the top post man defenders in the league, only few in the league are better (no less than #3 in the league). He also poses a huge matchup problem on the offensive end with his range and ability to play in the post. Sheed's impact on teams goes far beyond the stats. It's no coincidence when Sheed plays well, the Pistons are one the top 3 teams in the entire league.

This is a game..obviously all these trades wouldn't happen immediately if we were all GM's..We all have plans and it's best to judge the final product instead of one overall. I remember three competitions ago, Phoenix GM had a lineup of Nash, Ross, Outlaw, Diaw and Amare starting lineup, by the end of the competition? Nash-Ginobili-J.Howard-Dirk-Amare. Again this is a game, a lot of oppurtunities for trades open up since everyone is eager to trade, and I clearly know what I'm doing as I've also experienced success in these competitions in the past (won the whole thing two competitions ago..:) ).

Why would I trade Beasley? I honestly didn't want too, but here's my take:

a.) It's a damn game, calm down and judge the final product when it's done. If you have a problem with it THEN, then be my guest and post how horrible a job I've done.

b.) It's a damn game, Wade isn't like a LeBron, Howard or a CP3, he's injury prone and finally healthy after being hurt the past 2-3 seasons. He's arguably in his prime right now or damn close to it. Why not try to go for it all when Wade who is a top 3 player in the league when healthy is actually HEALTHY. The Heat's starting PG is who, Quinn??, C is Blount? That's pathetic. Take off the homer glasses and realize how much the Heat are putting on Wade the upcoming season. While I have no doubt he can lead that team to something respectable, why put a crap team around him hoping a rookie is the savior in arguably the prime of his career when Wade is finally healthy.

Would I have done it in real life? Probably not, but it's a damn game and a good enough reason to preserve Wade for the long term when he's healthy.

I really didn't want to reply, because there's no point in replying to someone who obviously doesn't read the whole thing or understand anything about a game where trades happen nearly all the time and oppurtunities for more all-stars/younguns are available at nearly all times especially in the early going, but I couldn't resist, lol.

I sincerely want you to come back at the end of this competition and judge me then. That'd be much appreciated. As for now? Just follow along and nobody needs to hear your sarcastic comments or posts when it's clear you've never played this game before or have no idea what your talking about.

The Dallas Mavericks have shocked the NBA world with a major overhaul of the team. They now have a plethora of expiring contracts coming off the books at the end of the next two seasons. Rumor has it they are looking to advertise them to teams interested in the 2010 free agency, hoping to require prospects and picks in the process. Some sources also report that Maurice Williams may be actively being shopped at this point in time also.

The 76ers reportedly regret having traded Kyle Korver during last season, as they are still looking for 3pt shooting off the bench.

trade rejected.

1. both gm's must write 2-3 sentences on why trade benefits your team and your direction (new rule)

want to curtail the need for vetoes and help in making a veto decision.

2. nets end up with more than 15 players.

remember, the rule voted for was that all rosters needed to be trimmed down to 15 either before their 1st trade or as a result of the 1st trade.
