Re: Golden Era Auction Discussion Thread
Things I'd change if I had it over again:
Take one of the top guys (Shaq, Hakeem, Michael, Larry sorts)
leave the second tier alone to preserve money.
Attack the third tier, bargain hunt.
Use remaining money on depth/versatility.

I'm thinking of starting the clock at 7 EST. It will be a four hour clock.

I'd say 4 hours starting at 8pm, ending at midnight

or 4 starting at 7, ending at 11. the punch line is that anything beyond bids already in that haven't been challenged have some extra time overnight.

It pains my heart to say this, so I'll just out with it I guess.
I think Billups is a tad overrated.

That's eerily the exact opposite of what I did.

I came very close to being in the same boat when I was ready to give up on getting Larry Legend.
I finally caved on a 21 million bid (largely as a preventive measure to keep a Bird/Shaq duo from happening).

How is he being rated?
I've got him as a solid 2nd option, clutch scorer with above average defense, good size, great shooting, and not a complete need to handle the ball.

The above sentence makes no sense. Why would you being in his conference screw up his chances?

You've gone up from obnoxious disturbance to annoying commentator in my book, Gremz. Congratulations.

Any slim chance that you would have gotten one just evaporated because you asked.
