I haven't played in awhile but I really like how narrow this pool is. I don't remember getting to choose among such obscure players. And for me that is the most fun part.

Wanted Bowen then Luka, but I was scared someone would swipe him. I knew Bowen would go. Eh, you win some, you lose some.

If there's one player who can compensate for Westbrook's erratic shot selection, that's Jokic.

Not the cleanest fit of all time, but I think it could work. Let's say Russ is a PG version of Gordon on offense. You'd probably need a legit stretch PF though cause 2 slashers/cutters would clog the paint for Jokic's post-up game. Easier said than done since that PF should also be able to provide defensive cover for Jokic.

This is the first pool I’ve ever seen where I’m legit concerned I’m going to end up with like 10 extra FGA…

Really like the Josh Howard pick. For a long time I considered him in some constellation, but usually there are better paths to spending the FGA. But he's a legit offensive option with nice spacing and superb defense

My bad on not quoting. I was super busy for a minute there.

I’m definitely getting the pieces I need to make this team work. So far it’s pretty much the 2011 Mavericks with Klay, but I do think that prime Klay would add a dimension to that offense it didn’t have, and that he fits with their defensive identity like a glove.

Yes, I hope forcing me to take a mild downgrade at center was worth having to play Jokic alongside a nonshooting drop center for a fourth of the game.

He is a career 33% three-point shooter on low volume. He is good defensively but at his price I can understand how he's rarely drafted

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Not sure, but I think everyone else had their starting point guard by the time you chose. Still getting your stars is more important than your role players and I think you did the right thing. I passed on Bowen and Green because I was afraid you might draft Dame.

I personally would prefer to start Harden over rookie Luka.

I was considering 2012 Harden as a starter before Ness took him. He was great and only didn’t start because they already had a superstar ball handler.

This was always the plan. I will have Luka back up the 1/2/3 spots. Harden was a monster that year. Similar to Manu in retrospect.

Appreciate it. I thought I did the right thing. And I was going to go Dame and Luka but then pivoted to Bowen and Luka, but ended up with Luka and Dwight. Still have a ton of FGA so we will see. I have had a plan-ish coming out of the 3rd round. Not mad with Lakers Dwight and rookie Luka off the bench. Both were still killers.
