Ive been a long advocate for a 1970’s to ‘95 type draft for months.

I'd play that, but a 1970s game would prevent those players from being overshadowed by Bird, Magic, Jordan, etc.

1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Re: Future Draft Games
Thought the conversation about one participant having two teams should go here.
Some thoughts -
It helps fill the field when we have a lull in sign-ups.
There would be a bit of an advantage in knowing what your other team intended to do in the draft.
Playoffs could be arranged so you don't face yourself except in the unlikely event both of your teams make the finals. Or maybe people wouldn't mind facing themselves.
Could be a voter shortage with more teams and less participants.
Should the two teams be consecutive in the draft order? Deliberately set some distance apart? Or just fall randonly like all others?
The best way to test the waters could be a game with everyone getting two teams.

Okay I can actually play the next game although I will probably have to be absent again for awhile after that for work stuff. Hope all have been well here.

Re: Future Draft Games
4 on 4 draft - 8 people sign up, split into two teams of four. One person picks 1st and 8th, one person picks 2nd and 7th, one 3rd and 6th, and one 4th and 5th. Supposed to be no contact with each other about the picks. The winning team of four then competes against each other in a quick 2021 draft.

Might be a little out there, but have a we ever done this game? Anyone who ever made any all-defensive teams is off-limits? Would definitely mix up the pool a lot haha.

I love this cause I want more of an 80s pool and this is a fun way to do that.

Most people here have high morals and wouldn't cheat during a draft on a forum.

Go ahead, I'm already running the other one
Make sure it include in the rules whether players like David Robinson (played a few months in 80s) are eligible

Yeah it's just if they played a single game in the 80s they qualify right? A lot of the 60s/70s stars had their last season in 80 so are eligible, excited for this draft pool.

Opened the thread. Let me know if you see any errors or problems with the rules, first time I've done this in a long while. Just copy&pasted one of Fades and made the few changes I saw necessary haha.
