PHX will not mtch offer sheet for Aaron Brooks.
(Luke and I talked this over, and decided this would be most realistic for both of my teams)

The New Jersey Nets are pleased to announce the signing of AK47 to the MLE. Versatile, long, and a damn good defender we like what he brings to our starting 5.

Continuing with the theme of defense first, the New Jersey Nets are pleased to announce the signing of Keynon Martin to the BAE. A solid rebounder and passer, as well as an excellent defender he is happy to be back in NJ.

Yea. This is my least favorite part of all these GM a team games. Gasol and Jordan got almost 200 million combined. That's almost 200million times as many all star appearances and MVP nominations as they have combined to have. Its disgusting.

Re: GM A Team: Spring 2011 - FREE AGENCY

The Bobcats are pleased to announce that we have signed Spencer Hawes to a 5 year contract. Well maybe not pleased. We didn't want to spend so much money and go five years but considering how much money people were spending on Marc Gasol and DeAndre Jordan I figured I had to overpay to get Hawes just to be on the safe side. But with all due respect to Marc Gasol and DeAndre Jordan but when you compare the numbers each guy has put up its hard to argue that my signing wasn't the best one. Hawes has a lot of potential and is only 22. Plus look at the contracts:
Marc Gasol - New Jersey Nets, for 6 years $98.5m (pre-arranged S&T)
DeAndre Jordan - Toronto Raptors, 6 years $70m
Spencer Hawes - Charlotte Bobcats, 5 years $30m
He'll cost me less than a third of what Gasol is going to cost the Nets and less than half what Jordan will cost the Raptors. Hawes might never live up to his contract but he's got a much better shot of that than either of the other two. I can live with that. He'll get every chance to win the starting job from Darko.

Re: GM A Team: Spring 2011 - FREE AGENCY
Portland are delighted to announce our first signings of free agency.

Carl Landry is the headline name for our free agency. The ideal 6th man for this young team, Landry has proven his value with some solid performances against LA in the current playoffs (15.6ppg), scores and hustles. He'll lead the second unit perfectly.

Jonas Jerebko meanwhile is somewhat a forgotten man, having missed his second season due to injury. His first season however was comparable to Landry Fields - 9.3 pts, 6 rebounds from the SF position, solid effort, defence and hustle play. Whilst his ceiling may not be massively high, he's a solid role player and exactly the kind of player I want on my team.

Finally we welcome Joel Freeland to Porltand. Enticed over by his fellow Brit GM, Joel has had a storming year in the Euroleague, ranking amongst the league's best big men and averaging 13.4 points (62%), 6 rebounds in 25 mins per game. Although he won't set the world alight immediately, his level of talent is close to that of Tiago Splitter and he'll be a useful contributor for this young team.

Dallas ---
News sources indicate that the Mavericks have matched a substantial offer for Greg Oden, 5 years $55,000,000. The Mavericks front office feels that Greg still has a significant amount of potential and that his early career injuries have artificially lowered his value. By adding him at this low of a price they will have one of the best rotations at the four and five positions in the league, and they just hope to increase the significant potential of their team by adding key depth at the wing positions (specifically point guard).

Re: GM A Team: Spring 2011 - FREE AGENCY
Denver Nuggets are pleased to announce the resigning of Wilson Chandler.

1st Year - $11,000,000
2nd Year - $12,155,000
3rd Year - $13,310,000
4th Year - $14,465,000
5th Year - $15,620,000
6th Year - $16,775,000
Total: $83,325,000
We didn't want to pay this much, but we like the fit Chandler has with our team. He's young, an aggressive defender, and possesses an all round versatile offensive game. With he and Wade on the perimeter, we like the shot blocking we get from the wings.
We're also pleased to announce the signing of Grant Hill!

1st Year - $3,325,416
2nd Year - $3,674,584
We needed a backup to Chandler, and a true 6th man. Hill has proven to be the ultimate competitor for the Suns, a smart veteran that has a money mid range jumpshot with an above average all round game.

Spurs happily confirm the Tayshaun Prince signing. He gives us another solid veteran presence and can boost our chances of contention at a much higher level.

The 76ers will match the Bucks' offer for Thaddeus Young.
Year 1: 14,000,000
Year 2: 15,120,000
Year 3: 16,240,000
Year 4: 17,360,000
Year 5: 18,480,000
This is way overpaying, but Young is still only 22 and does have some room to grow. The compensation for a S&T just wasn't enough for us to let him go. We figure since Cousins, Randolph, and Williams are still on their rookie deals, and we have really have no big contracts, we can afford to sign Young for this kind of contract. Averaged 18/7 per 36 last year. If he could average those numbers in his prime, plus play lockdown D, we'll be happy.

Due to an administration error, Tracy McGrady remains a free agent.
He has several teams offering the Bi-Annual Exception. In order to make his decision, he wants to know what your depth chart will be with him on board, how many minutes he will play, and what you expect from him.

The GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS would like to announce the following singings:
ZACH RANDOLPH
$12,600,786
$12,960,000
$13,996,800
$15,116,544
$16,325,870
TOTAL: 5 yr, $71,000,000
We welcome Zach to the GS Warriors as the co-captain of our team alongside young Stephen Curry. Brining a top-3 Power Forward and an All-Star to the organization is something we are extremely excited about and we are sure Zach will bring his new-found love for leadership, his good community spirit and his reformed personna to the Warriors and be our franchise player going forward. Additionally, this deal represents a great value for the money as we have locked the player down during his prime at a contract that seems very reasonable when compared to the kind of contracts that have been handed out during this free agency period.
JASON RICHARDSON

$5,966,000
$6,443,280
$6,958,742
$7,515,442
$8,116,677
TOTAL: 5 years, 35 million
We welcome Jason back to the Bay Area where it all began. He is an explosive scorer, a great shooter and a good citizen to boot. We love what his combination of size, athleticism, veteran leadership and playoff experience. Jason will form an explosive backcourt with Steph Curry and having the likes of Curry, Randolph, Josh Smith on the team will open things up for him to get his shots and points. Again, another value signing as this contract is very reasonable and presents excellent value for the money. Yes Jason, together, we believe!
YAO MING

$4,000,000
$4,000,000 (Team Option)
TOTAL: 2 years, 8 million (2nd year team option)
We are taking a flier on Yao. The deal presents very low risk and potentially high reward of him recovering from his injury and becoming a solid contributor for us. We will help Yao get back to health as he rehabs from his injury and hope that he will be ready to play by December this year. Yao will be eased back into the rotation and we will continue to monitor his minutes as he gets back to being the Yao of old. In the unfortunate event where he is not able to continue playing, we have a team option on the 2nd year and can decline that option to let Yao get involved in the non-playing aspects of basketball and move on with his life.
MIKE DUNLEAVY Jr.

1 yr, 3 million
Another ex-Warrior returns to his old stomping grounds. Mike will play off the bench and will help bring his playoffs experience to the team. Again, the deal is a short-term one and will allow us to maintain cap flexibility going into the big FA season where Deron, Paul, Howard are all due to hit the FA market.
AL THORNTON

1 Year, 2 million
Thornton remains with the Warriors for another year. Another 1-year deal that gives us cap flexibility going into the big FA year of 2012 while Al will help us immensely this year with his scoring, defense and athleticism.
REGGIE EVANS

1 Year, 2 million
Reggie's an agressive rebounder and a dirty mofo in the process. We needed front-court depth and he will help us out with that. Another 1 year deal to maintain cap flexibility going forward.
RONNIE PRICE

1 year, minimum salary
Ronnie will back up Curry at the PG spot. We like his defensive mentality and explosive athleticism.
ZACH RANDOLPH

$12,600,786
$12,960,000

Reggie's an agressive rebounder and a dirty mofo in the process. We needed front-court depth and he will help us out with that. Another 1 year deal to maintain cap flexibility going forward.
RONNIE PRICE

1 year, minimum salary
Ronnie will back up Curry at the PG spot. We like his defensive mentality and explosive athleticism.
