Why wait until the slotted time to make the pick if your mind is already up, right?
With the 1st pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select...

Andre Drummond, Center, Connecticut
We thought very hard about this pick, and Harrison Barnes was highly considered, but we ultimately went with the big fella from Connecticut. Centers like Andre don't come around too often and we feel like a frontcourt of Derrick Williams and Andre Drummond has the potential to be the best in the NBA.
The Toronto Raptors are on the clock.

Toronto proudly selects Anthony Davis, a prospect who we feel is the best since Durant and Oden came out.

Davis has the ability to be a very rich man's Lamar Odom. He can pass, he is an athletic freak (6-10 with a 7-4 wingspan) and a promising mid-range game. I think that he is the perfect compliment to Jonas Valancianus, and I look forward to seeing what the two of them can do next to each other.

Initially, I planned in trading this pick... but after much consideration the Boston Celtics will select
Harrison Barnes from UNC!

After thinking about this quite a bit, I'm going with Jared Sullinger, from OSU.

A monster down low, he has the best back-to-the-basket game in collage basketball. Can do everything I want on the offensive end, and he is a guy that we can work the ball through. Even with his stocky frame, he lost some weight, but still is extremely strong. Also has a very long wingspan, which is amazing considering how strong he is. He is a great rebounder as well, and is improving his mid-range/3PT game. I also saw reports that he grew to 6'9, so that's exciting.
Overall, he fits my team perfectly (surrounded by defensive bigs), and his game reminds me of Kevin Love mixed with Elton Brand. I'm thrilled to be able to draft him; welcome to the Bobcats, Jared!

Toronto (via Detroit) proudly selects Bradley Beal. On my big-board he was #4 for the Raptors (behind Davis, Drummond and Barnes). Beal is eerily similar to Eric Gordon, and I feel like next to DeRozan he will thrive. I am really liking how my team is shaping up, and look forward to making a few more moves to round out my roster.

EDIT: I've reconsidered, and with the 7th pick, the Bucks pick Quincy Miller. I hope this is OK.

It's just going to make the draft way too hard to manage if people edit there picks, so you'll have to go with your original post....which was Perry Jones?

My understanding is that Milwaukee will be returning to his original pick of Perry Jones; with appreciation, Golden State selects Quincy Miller at #8.

no need to wait another 12 hours till I am up.
Washigton is thrilled to select Austin Rivers.

We can not believe he has dropped to us, he was not even on my draft board since we figured he would be gone in the top 3. He is the most offensively talented player in the draft, and has a very high BBall IQ. He has the ability to D up when he is motivated (something HS did not do for him, but he did during select camps), and his 6'8 wingspan gives the guy he is guarding all sorts of problems. After 1 year under Coach K, he will be regarded even higher then Irving was this past season, plus he has great range. Him and John Wall will give our oppontents nightmares! Welcome to DC.

The Draft rules are that those team have auto picked the following Players from Draft Express - Not sure what teams actually hold these picks:
#12 Thomas Robinson PF / Kansas
#13 Patric Young C / Florida
#14 John Henson PF / North Carolina
#15 Terrence Jones SF / PF / Kentucky
You are now able to select any player not taken in the top 15. I have no authority in this game, but this is what has been posted as the way the Draft would be handled. Please move on.
