PHI and SAS have a trade to announce.

PHI outgoing:
Elton Brand $17,059,728
Spencer Hawes $4,051,024
2013 PHI 1st
total: $21,110,752

SAS outgoing:
Tim Duncan $21,164,619

Duncan is still a defensive anchor, can have an offense run through him.

Spurs accept. Moving on from possibly the greatest career of a Spurs player. Trying to get some value as the declining point of his career starts. Getting back a young center in Hawes plus the 1st was huge.
Brand is three years younger than Duncan.

Chicago and Philly have a deal to announce.

76ers IN:
Joakim Noah - $12,000,000
Ronnie Brewer - $4,710,000
Total - $16,710,000 (150%+100,000 = $25,165,000)

Chicago IN:
Tim Duncan - $21,164,619

Chicago accepts. First things first, we clear some salary and stick to a plan we have set for ourselves. Second and third, T & D. Possibly the best fundamental big man of all time, Timmy D will go out not only as one of the best players of all time, but also one of the classiest. We had better offers for Noah, but this one gives us the most flexibility for the future as well as maintaining a competitive edge this year. Nice deal BlackIce, and congrats one your one millionth trade!!

Thanks :D.
Brewer is an elite perimeter defender, and between him and Iggy, LBJ/Kobe/Melo etc. will see elite defense for the whole game. Noah/Varejao lacks in offense, kind of like the current OKC frontcourt. That being said it is quite good on the boards, ridiculous on defense and mobile on both ends of the floor.

Trade #11:

Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks has a trade:

Hawks out/ Bucks in:

Kirk Hinrich $8,100,000
Erick Dampier $854,389
Jannero Pargo $854,389
*Hawks send 1M of cash to Milwaukee.

Total: $9,808,778

Bucks out/ Hawks in:

Tobias Harris $1,418,460
Larry Sanders $1,861,920
Beno Udrih $6,925,400

Total: $10,205,780

$9,808,778 * 1.5 = $14,713,167
Obviously, salaries work.

We finally make a deal. It's not the biggest deal though, but we like sheding salary and losing Udrih's overpaid contract and getting some cash is good, even though, we have to lose 2 young guys.

ATL accepts. We prefer a couple 1st round picks to min guys, and taking on an extra year of salary isn't an issue for me, as I wasn't going to go after any FAs this summer. I also like Harris, hes got a great post game, working on his J, and plays physical D.

Deal is accepted. Rush is shooting 58% from three and is playing D in a contract push year.

#13 Minnesota and Charlotte have a trade:

Minnesota trades:
Kawhi Leonard($1,731,960) + Matt Bonner($3,315,000) + Malcolm Lee($500,000) + 2012 Utah 1st(lotto protected) = $5,546,960 x 1.5 = $8,320,440

Charlotte trades: Gerald Henderson($2,250,600) + Reggie Williams($2,500,000) + B.J. Mullens($1,288,200) + 2013 Portland 1st(top 12 protected) = $6,038,800

Minnesota accepts. Kawhi is a hard piece to move, but we like the value we get here. Reggie is a solid bench player, Mullens has showed that he can score some points and Henderson is a good young SG who plays nice defense.

Edited: before this trade is completed Charlotte would like to waive the unguaranteed contract of Cory Higgins. It doesn't effect the trade any bit.

I have a man-crush on Kawhi's style and wanted another pick for this year (even though it's protected).

#14 Minnesota and Milwaukee have a trade:

Minnesota sends: Nene($13,000,000) + Wes Johnson($4,006,080) + Gary Neal($762,195) + 2012 OKC 2nd = $17,768,275

Milwaukee sends: Andrew Bogut( $12,000,000) + Jon Brockman = $13,000,000 + $5m(since the $5m would be lesser then $13,000,000 x 1.5) = $18,000,000

Milwaukee will also send $1m in cash

Minnesota accepts. Getting a top 2-3 center in Bogut is hard to pass up. He's also still in his prime so he can help our team grow. His defense is elite and he's a nice player on offense. Our defense will really take off with Bogut manning the paint.

*edited to include Brockman so it will work.

Injuries was a major concern with Bogut. That's why we agreed to downgrade to Nene, which is nota huge downgrade. Also, we get a nice talented guy in Wes Johnson and cheap scorer off the bench in Neal.

*We re-confirm it with Brockman included, to make it work via 5M rule.

The Pistons and Grizzlies have agreed upon a deal.

Grizz send Josh Davis to Pistons prior to deal, works as he's a minimum.

Grizzlies Receive
Austin Daye ($1,929,600)
Ben Wallace ($2,246,400)
2014 DET 1st (top 2 protected)
2012 DET 2nd

Total: $4,176,000

Pistons Receive
OJ Mayo ($5,632,637)

Total: $5,632,637

Deal Works.

Pistons accept. We like Mayo.

Grizz accept, we do this mostly for cap relief (big ben is an expiring and Daye is on a rookie deal), this deal also helps in term of draft picks.

#16 Minnesota and San Antonio have a trade:

Minnesota trades: Anthony Randolph($2,911,231) + B.J. Mullens($1,288,200) = $4,199,431

San Antonio trades:
Tiago Splitter( $3,672,000) x 1.25 = $4,590,000

Minnesota accepts. I love ARs game, and Mullens has been pretty good this year, but Tiago has played well and he gives us a nice 4 /5 off the bench that can play with Love or Bogut.

Spurs accept. We gain two more young players, trying to create a future here in San Antonio. I feel Randolph and Mullens gives us great depth.

#17: ATL and CHA have a trade to announce:

To Atlanta:
DJ Augustin ($3,236,470)
Malcom Lee ($500,000)

Total: 3,736,470

To Charlotte:
Darell Arthur ($2,027,119)
Jeff Teague ($1,579,920)

Total:
3,607,039

Close enough, deal works.

ATL accepts. Augustin is 14/3/7, a good shooting and distributor. He's a good fit with Turner, and to add a core piece without giving a ton is what I like to do.

Deal.
Teague is developing well and Arthur (although injured in real life) is a great big off the bench.

#18: ATL and PHI have a trade to announce:

To Atlanta:

Rudy Gay ($15,032,144)
Andres Nocioni ($6,650,000)
Joakim Noah ($12,000,000)

Total: 33,682,144 * 1.5 + 100,000 = 50,623,216. Also within 5M.

To Philadelphia:

Marc Gasol ($12,922,194)
Joe Johnson ($18,038,573)
Zaza Pachulia ($4,750,000)

Total: 35,710,767

Deal works.

ATL accepts. Tough losing both Gasol and Johnson, but I like Gay to Johnson, Noc to Zaza, and downgrading from Gasol to Noah isn't all bad. Also balances out my roster a bit and saves a bit of money.

JJ is overpaid and is underrated because of it. He is an well rounded allstar that compliments Iggy nicely. Between JJ and Iggy I have plenty of playmaking on the wings and Gasol, also an allstar is averaging 15/11/3 on 2.2 blks. He is also a quality D anchor. I also get some depth here as well. Good dealing.
