Dwight Howard. I was going between him and another guy, but I ultimately picked Howard due to him being a part of more franchises, having way less FGA, and being an amazing defender.

With the 24th pick in the 3 degrees of Franchise Draft, ChicagoSportsFan21 selects...

Spoiler:
GARY PAYTON-PG

Got my offensive superstar in Bird, now I got my defensive superstar in Payton. Payton/Bird should form a dynamic duo/1-2 punch.

I'm going to lock down the paint. Give me Alonzo Mourning with his nice 30 games for the Nets. Passing up clear best player available to me but might be able to get him later or someone better.

Tough decision between two guys here but Ive gotta go with the one who provides more flexibility in both FGA and future teams, plus he has proven real life chemistry with MJ. Give me:

Dennis Rodman.

There were a couple of other options available that I didn't expect to be that made this a surprisingly challenging choice, but I still don't think I can pass up

Steph Curry.

He's just too amazing a fit with one of the best centers of all time at running the floor in Wilt.

I got D-Wade. I’m screwing myself in terms of future team flexibility, but he’s just way too talented to pass up, he’s so far beyond all the other Miami and Cleveland options. And we know for a fact he and LBJ have chemistry. But this time around you’re getting the PEAK versions of them.

But the main thing is now I finally get to use this pic

The logo. please. Reasonable FGA with the multiplier and will be a nice complement to Shaq.

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I've gotta go with Kevin Durant. He's too good to pass up.

In hindsight I should have taken this guy in the 2nd round and TMac at this spot, but there's enough solid Spurs out there that it's worth picking him now.
