Didn't see this for ages hold on

New York Knickerbockers

Summary:

My initial thoughts for this roster at the start was to trade Carmelo Anthony and blow it up. In fact i had a deal in place to do exactly that. However in a way i'm glad it didn't occur, because i was able to get Marc Gasol. From there I knew that this team could be competitive now. On paper, sure it isn't the best roster on the planet, but the depth here, not to mention the pieces we have i think will prove to be a real force in the East. I think we have our own big 3 in Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and Marc Gasol. Our complimentary pieces in Lee and Payton will play a big role in complimenting these three players, as well as stepping up when needed. We have some great young players on the roster now with Okafor, McLemore and Payton, who we are hoping to restore their former status as top prospects and future stars. I think we have drafted well also by getting DJ Wilson (who in real life went 17 to the Bucks) in the middle of the 2nd round, whilst he won't get a lot of NBA time immediately, he will certainly be one that we look to build up over time. To conclude, i think this is a roster that not only is great right now, but is one to look out for in the future.

Despite every intention of going for a rebuild and a blow up with these Knicks, it looks like we're going for it also.

Roster:

C Marc Gasol/Jahlil Okafor/Marshall Plumlee
P.F Kristaps Porzingis/Taj Gibson/Lance Thomas
S.F Carmelo Anthony//Mindaugas Kuzminskas/Langston Galloway
S.G Courtney Lee/Ben McLemore/Ron Baker
P.G Elfrid Payton/Deron Williams/Chasson Randle

D-league:
Monte Morris (2 way player)
DJ Wilson (815,615) (2 way player)

C Gasol(22,642,350)/Okafor(4,995,120)/Plumlee (905,249)
P.F Porzingis(4,503,600/Gibson (6,000,000)/Thomas(6,655,325)
S.F Melo($26,243,760)/Kuzminskas (3,028,410)/Galloway ()
S.G Lee (11,747,890)/McLemore (7,000,000)/Baker ()
P.G Payton(3,332,340)/Williams (8,406,000)/Randle (905,429)

($ - Total)

I'd say everybody who didn't post his final roster shouldn't be able to participate next year.

You should show some commitment to such games and I'm sure there'll be 30 board members who would.

That sucks. I was looking forward to seeing the results of the simulated season.

I think some of the others may have did there final rosters on the other roster page that was set up from earlier in the game. Probably the reason why half of the players did not do their final roster write-ups on this thread.

Last year was way better. We should try to recruit the guys from last year for 2018...

I find it absolute BS that in real life the Timberwolves got Jimmy Butler for less than I would have offered and how the Thunder got Paul George for even less than that.
Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

Maybe you should pass next year, then. Sportscrazy put way more work on this game that you'll ever think about putting In a RealGM project ever.
I was there last year when it worked great, and this year. The big difference was the players, not the way it was run.

You think it's BS? Ask what Bulls and Indy real life fan what they think of the real life trade, lol. As the Bulls GM in the game, I'd never have considered a similar offer for Butler. Even one that let me keep #16 wouldn't fly.

 so when the commish says he wants to quit on more than 1 occasion during the game, then doesn't finish it after everyone put their time in, that's what you call running it well? Please don't involve me in this pointless brown nosing.

Maybe you still can. Half the players did their final roster write ups in this thread and others did their rosters on the Roster thread of the mock offseason game.

If Sportscrazy isn´t available or doesn´t want to commish the mock-offseason anymore, is there anybody who´d replace him?

If we have the commissioner, we should start recruiting the GM´s for all teams.

100% in

(though in hindsight, that roster with the way Gasol played would have sucked).

I'd be in, too. Just wish a few users would have put in more effort. I'd also like that each GM makes a pitch what he's looking to do before doing any action. And after the off-season concluded review what of his initial plans he accomplished.

the issue is, it can often be something where you initially plan to do something, but moves come along with change your direction.

I wanted to completely start from scratch with the knicks but then got offers which put me into the more win now mode.
